The other day, a friend was compiling a list of e-coupon sites for a page on her website (yeah, I should do the same, I know). So she asked for suggestions and of course we gave her what we could think of, then someone said “Upromise!” Holy cow, I signed up for an account with them a while back, but forgot all about it! If you don’t know what UPromise is, it’s basically a college savings account. You can link it to your 529 account, and when you purchase items with the UPromise logo, you earn a percentage towards your account. I set mine up before K was born and forgot about it!
UPromise has evolved over the years, and they are no longer just a savings site. They now offer discount coupons on their website which includes many of your favorite mall stores. You can also use their UPromise Coupon Codes when you shop online. It’s very easy to use and once you take a few minutes to set it up, it basically runs itself. You just link all your shopper loyalty cards to your account and the tracking does the rest. You can even ask others, like grandparents, to link their cards to your account so that you get credit for their purchases too.
