Lately I’ve done several blog posts on my existential crisis and couponing. Deals just aren’t as good as they used to be. But that’s just a small part of the problem, there are deals to be had. The other problem is all the social media “noise” out there that is distracting us from our first love–finding great deals. Sure, I love to browse photos and recipes and all that other stuff, but let’s face it, you have to wade through lots of excess in order to find deals, right?
Well, there’s a site that may change that–ReclipIt. I was just introduced to them a few weeks ago, and I think I am really going to like it. It’s old school deals–all in one place. You create an account which is very easy–just one click if you’re already on Facebook or Gmail or some other sites. Or just do it the old fashioned way with name, email and upload a photo. Then, create folders for deals that you want to follow–I’ve created a CVS, Acme, Walgreens and printables folder to get me started. Then, when you find blog posts or chat forums (like hotcouponworld) and see a deal, you can clip it to your folder. I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s a mixed blessing to get matchups or a heads up on a deal a week or two ahead of time. As a busy mom, I forget about it or lose track of it by the time it comes, right? Well, now, you can clip it to your ReclipIt folder and get back to it when the time comes. Because, when you clip it to a folder, it allows you to include an expiration date! How cool is that!?! No more wading through matchups on expired ads–your folder will show you that it’s expired and you don’t even open it.
And here’s my promise to you–as a serious couponer and deal hunter, I promise to only clip stuff to my ReclipIt folders that is true, old school deals. Deals and matchups and just overall fun stuff the way it used to be. You won’t find any recipes or me ranting about “that tv show” on ReclipIt. I promise to only post good, true-blue deals and freebies to the folders. Mind you, I’ll still rant and post recipes and crafts and travel tips, you’ll just have to come to my site or subscribe to the email for that.

I really think that this is the best way for us to follow and keep track of our deals and couponing. Let’s face it, none of us clicks-through on Twitter, Facebook isn’t showing you all of the pages you follow–less than 10% of them actually, and other sites just aren’t conducive to deals. That’s all changed with ReclipIt.
