Notice: there are no deals or bargains in this post, lol.
I have just had it with all the online whining, particularly on facebook. Earlier today, I posted a deal to get a free tub of wipes. But there were only 5000 available and then went so quickly, I immediately took the post down. Omigosh, you should see the whining that is taking place over not being able to score a free $2 tub of wipes. Gimme a break!
Earlier this week I posted some links to watch some Super Bowl commercials and if I was one of the Top 100, I would’ve won a free Flip. I didn’t try that hard, posted it once and forgot about it.
You really should see the whining taking place over not getting the Flip phone. “It’s not fair, wah wah wah…” If you’re a bzzagent, go over to that page and look.
Oh, and the House Parties! Good grief, every time they announce the winners of a House Party, you should see the whining that takes place over NOT being chosen. There was one recently with a coffee maker and the carrying on about not getting a free coffeemaker was just hysterical!
Hey, I like a good freebie as much as the next person. But get over it. With social media, this stuff goes fast. If a blog has 75,000 followers, and there are only 5000 samples of something being offered–do the math. Odds are that you’re not going to get one. This is why I don’t post too many of these types of offers, there are hundreds of millions of people on Facebook, so it’s kinda hard to win one of 2500 something. And at the end of the day, not worth it, imo.
I’d rather spend my time trying to do matchups and deal stacking. I got tons of freebies this morning at CVS–a mascara, two eyeshadows, a big pack of diapers, 1 bottle of Excedrin, 1 moisturizer and 1 cleanser–all for about $3 out of pocket. So which is a smarter use of our time–figuring out deals at CVS, or sitting on facebook trying to click on a page for a free wipes coupon and the page never loads…..?
