Looking for some fun Halloween to help you have a spooktacular time this weekend? Here are just a few of the Halloween freebies and events you won’t want miss! Know of an additional event that’s not listed here, leave it in the comments below. And don’t forget–I have my new events calendar in the sidebar, where I’ve put local events such as parades and the Chadds Ford Pumpkin Carve. Let’s hope it doesn’t get snowed out!

Applebee’s – Children 10 years and younger get to eat for free from the kid’s menu at participating Applebee’s restaurants throughout the day and evening on Oct. 31. Two free kids’ meals are included for each paid adult entree.

Bass Pro Shops is having a wide variety of Peanuts themed kid’s activities in honor of Halloween including parades, marshmallow roasts, contests, crafts and more. Click here for more details.

Boston Market Kids eat free this Halloween weekend from October 29 – 21, 2011. Purchase an adult meal and get the children’s meal for free. Click here to print coupon.

Build-a-Bear Workshop – Stop by your local Build-a-Bear this weekend from 10/28 to 10/31 and kids (and bears) in thier costumes will get free samples of Quaker Chewy Smashbars and free virtual gifts.

Cici’s Pizza – Costumed kids will eat free at Cici’s w/ paid adult buffet. Click here for coupon.
Friendlys – Any kid in costume who stops by participating Friendly’s between October 27 and October 31 will get a free ice cream cone. 
IHOP  – Get your kids a treat of a free Scary Face Pancake from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 28. Valid for kids under 12 with adult meal purchase.
Krispy Kreme will be offering free Halloween donuts to those in costume on 10/31. No purchase necessary.
Meijer – Celebrate Halloween at Meijer this year with free games, treats and a chance to win free groceries for a year!  Stop by on Saturday, October 29, 2011 between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. While you’re there, check in with Foursquare or Facebook to enter their free groceries for a year sweepstakes.
Michael’s  Stop by Saturday, Oct. 29 for the big costume parade, when kids also get to create trick-or-treat duck-tape totes or pails and get their faces painted. Oct. 30 is the Halloween Crayola Pumpkin Patch Event. Check the above link for times and dates. Most activities are appropriate for ages 3 and up.
Ryan’s – Join Ryan’s e-mail club and you’ll get a coupon for a free kid’s meal on 10/31 w/ purchase of an adult meal. Limit 2 kids per paid adult.
TGI Friday’s  TGI Friday’s will give away a free appetizer to any live or living-dead person wearing a costume Oct. 29 to Oct. 31.

Toys ‘R US – Bring children in their costumes to Toys R Us stores from noon to 3 p.m., Oct. 29 for Geoffrey’s Halloween Parade, free treats and giveaways.

Southwest Airlines  Sit back and enjoy your Halloween flight with a complimentary “spirit” from Southwest Airlines. You don’t need to fly their friendly skies, however, to enter the airline’s Haunted Halloween Sweepstakes Click here for more info.
Walmart Visit your Walmart storefrom 10/27/2011 to 10/30/2011 and sample free Starbucks Ice Cream. Check the website to see if your store is participating.

  1. City of Newark, De is hosting a halloween parade down Main Street with trick or treating afterwards for those dressed in costume. It runs from 3pm-5pm.
