I have read All Different Kinds Of Free and highly recommend it. It isn’t the easiest reading material but it is educational and a story that is much less known than Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The story is based on the case “Prigg vs. Pennsylvania” and occurred quite a few years before the Civil War. However it played a large role in the bitter fight over state’s rights, which eventually led to the Civil War.
