We do Elf on the Shelf. Mind you, I own a lazy, good for nothing, do nothing, Elf. He’s very unmotivated. He barely moves, sometimes he sits on the same shelf for days on end. Hijinx? I wish. I wish he would do something fun. He doesn’t, he just sits there. If I find the boys room to be a mess, do you think that no-good elf tells me who did it? Nope. Never says a word. I think he gets into my wine too.
I see other family’s elves-they’re off fishing, having dates with Barbie, doing all sorts of cool stuff. Mine, just sits. Keep the kids in line? Yeah right, mine steals from our wine stash while we’re sleeping, I swear!
