Saturday Night-what’s a couponer to do?

Get ready for superdoubles or triples! I’m going to spend my evening sorting. I never was the clubbing or partying type anyway.

Tomorrow is the 30th–LOTS of coupons expiring after that. Tomorrow also starts the superdoubles at Kmart. There are now several threads going on about this on hotcouponworld. Here is the link to the KMart board. Remember, they will double anything up to and including $2 coupons, no internet printables. Limit 4 of same coupon.

Also–when you are checking out, you need to make sure you watch carefully. They have a new register feature which prompts the cashier to match up the coupon to the item. My advice is this–let’s say you have the $2 Dove hair care coupon. Dove hair care is 3.79 at Kmart. If you have 4 Qs for this, put your 4 Doves on the belt, let them ring it, then hand them the 4 coupons so that when prompted, they will match it correctly.

If, let’s say you have another Unilever item (like Suave, Ragu or many others) and they just match it up to anything, you could lose money. It happened to me last time. It takes a little bit longer, just scout out the cashiers and look for a friendly one. If you’re at Pike Creek, there are several young, very friendly male cashiers that I like. The older women I do not care for.

Also, yesterday started another week of triples at Superfresh. And, they have Rayovac batteries on sale for 0.99. If you got the $1 coupon recently, I think it was just last week, free batteries.

I am taking a break from CVS for a while. The next couple of weeks look slow there and my ECBs are now all good until the 27th or 28th of December, so plenty of time to roll them.

last day for Kelloggs rebate

There’s a $10 mail in rebate for Kellogg’s. I saw the booklets at the Avondale Acme yesterday, I know Redner’s had them. Check your grocery store to see if they have a cardboard display with the booklets, rebate inside.

Must be postmarked by tomorrow, so today is your last day to purchase $10 worth of the products listed. Acme has Kelloggs 3 for $10, not a great price, if you have 3 of the $1 coupons from two weeks ago, 3 for $7, then $10 back. Superfresh also has Kelloggs on sale. Not sure about Giant or Genuardi’s.

Triples at Superfresh

I try to keep my couponing/bargaining repetoire of stores down to just a few–Acme, Giant, CVS, Walgreen’s and Kmart. Occasionally I’ll hit a few others, but that’s basically it. With all of the shopping options we have around here, clipping, sorting, viewing circulars and websites, doing coupon matchups–it could literally eat up all your free time if you let it. Which is why I stay to one group of stores.

Nevertheless, I do get all the circulars in my mailbox, and I’m sure I have some Kennett area readers who are close to the Superfresh on Route 1. They are tripling coupons–not sure of the exact dates. On the right hand side of my blog, click on my friend Diane’s blog, she has some good Superfresh deals listed.

Sorry been out of touch

I’ve had lots going on the past few days, so haven’t posted. Many couponers on the various sites are excited about the upcoming week–me, not so much.

Acme: Acme has a buy $20 get $10 oyno with conagra products. Details on back page of flyer. I can’t find one thing listed that we eat/use, so I’ll be sitting this one out. There are lots of corresponding insert coupons though, including many in the 11/9 papers.

CVS: A few items free after ECBs, but I don’t even know if I’ll make the trip. Garnier hair care, Glaceau water and a L’oreal item. Eh.

Walgreen’s: Baking items for xmas have lots of corresponding coupons. Cheap chocolate. Other than that, not too much.

I see this as a slow week, which I’m glad for.
