Odds & Ends

Sorry for not posting, been a busy few days.

This week at Acme there is a $10/30 catalina deal on Procter & Gamble products. Working on shelf prices, so lots of cheap stuff if you need it. Also the Gum toothbrushes are $1, so if you have the $0.75 coupon from a few weeks ago, I got $0.50 overage on mine. There are also $0.55 Gum accessory coupons out–the only place I have ever seen $1 accessories is the flossers and I’ve only ever seen them at Pike Creek. The Perdue chicken nugget packs are $4.99 and bogo. Use two of the $0.75 coupons that are out and you get your packs for $1 each.

CVS-go to CVS and scan your card under the card scanner. Many moms are reporting that they’re getting a coupon for $5 off ANY Halloween item, and apparently there are many items priced $5 or less.

Giant-no gas deals this week, but each ad should have four of the $1 doublers. From one of the moms on hcw, here is what she found to be free/cheap with the doublers–thanks angeleyza:
Coffeemate creamers $1.66 ea – $1/1 and $1 Doubler = free + overage
Mrs T Pierogies $2 – $1/1 and $1/1 Doubler = Free
Jello Refridgerated puddings $2.50 ea – $1/1 and $1 Doubler = .50 ea (yummy treat!)
All Laundry $2.99 – $1/1 and doubler = .99
not sure on the GE but b1G1f use 2- $1/1 and 1 doubler (YMMV) pretty cheap for 2 possibly.
Skippy PB $2 ea – $1/2 and doubler = $1 ea
min maid OJ $2.50 ea – $1/1 ( inside certain pkgs of kelloggs cerals) & doubler= .50ea
Honey Nut cherrios $2 – $1/1 and doubler = free
frosted flakes $3 ea – $1/1 kellogg peelie & doubler combine with $1 off milk and $1 doubler = cheap cereal and milk
Green Giant Vegs $1 ea use $1/4 blinkies & 1 doubler = 4/$2

Target: in addition to the rug coupon deal I posted the other day, they are offering a gift card deal on Mott’s juice. My kids love the Motts for Tots, so I plan on getting that, getting my gift card, then using gc and coupon to get my rugs.

Great week to get back into it

Hope you all had as nice of a week as I did. After a break from couponing and bargaining, I’m ready to get back into it; and this looks like a good week to start up. Other bargain bloggers often refer to Sunday “must do” deals. I don’t. I no longer feel the urge to be at a store when it opens on Sunday just to get a few free somethings. The deals run all week, if they run out, so be it. Or get a raincheck. And anyway, the weather has just been too nice lately to spend it inside a pharmacy. I guess I’m not a total diehard when it comes to this stuff.

Anyway……

Acme–Acme has another GM deal, several items at 0.99 when you buy 6. Combine that deal with the various GM coupons that have been out lately and you can get some items for $0.24 and even get overage on the Warm Delights. They also have $1 Bumble Bee tuna, combined with either the coupon from last week (makes it $0.50/can) or if you got the $0.55 coupon in your paper, free with overage.

Giant–still doing the points program for gas or a discount card.

Superfresh–didn’t really see anything great there this week.

CVS–CVS, now for the second week in a row, is offering several “free after Extra Care Bucks” items. Add in some coupons and you’ll pay less $$ than what you’ll get back in ECBs. Also a Huggies diaper deal to then roll your ECBs on and get diapers. The Revlon is limit 6! They haven’t had a high limit like that in a long time. If you “like” Revlon on Facebook, you can get a $2 coupon, making the lipstick free. Better yet, pair that up with the “free nail polish when you buy lipstick” coupon from last week’s paper, and get two items for free. The ad is definitely worth checking out if you want to start doing the ECB rolling thing at CVS. I may just jump in again. Make sure you scan your card at the scanner when you go in.

Walgreens–Here is one of the diehard coupon blogs that I was talking about. She lists all of the Walgreen’s deals for this week. It’s a great week for freebies at Walgreen’s too. I’ve found that both the Longwood and the Penn Green road locations are very coupon friendly.

Toys R Us–the TRU ad lists several brands of toys for ‘Buy 2 Get 1 Free.’ Included in this list are Leap toys (coupons in today’s paper) and Play-Doh (coupons in last week’s paper). Stack the sale with some coupons and you could get some very cheap toys–and xmas isn’t that far away! I do not know if TRU will let you use a coupon on the free item, you may only be able to use 2 coupons. But still worth a shot.

I’ll post other bargains as I find them!

I’m on semi-vacation this week

I’m home but on a semi-vacation this week.

Make sure you check out the GM deal at Acme, and I’ll be back to posting more near the end of the week.

Random deals

I’m taking a slight break for the weekend, Giant wore me out this week! Giant looks very blah next week, which is fine with me.

Starting tomorrow–superdoubles at Kmart, coupon value up to $1. Limit 5 per day. I’ll post any decent matchups if I see them.

CVS and Walgreen’s looking blah again, I’ll post anything extraordinary if I see it posted.

Superfresh has great deals this week, and I found out yesterday that if you get a 10% off coupon, it will come off of your pre-supercard savings. Very cool!

Acme has a Kraft deal and an Edy’s deal. Kraft is instant savings combined with a catalina. Edy’s catalina was not working yesterday, may want to hold off on buying that stuff if you can.

I get my Sunday paper today. Old Navy has good coupons 10/50 or 15/50 if your kids need back to school stuff. Good coupon inserts this week, an entire General Mills insert, so hopefully a good deal coming soon at Acme.

Staples has very good BTS deals, printable coupons online.
