CVS looks good this week

Just checked out the CVS ad, looks good this week. First, if you scan your card at the coupon scanner, you’ll get a $3 off $15 cosmetics purchase, store coupon. CVS allows you to stack store coupons with mfr coupons. Look at the ad for the various cosmetic sales and Extra Care Bucks deals. I think if we combine the $3/15 with mfr coupons and Extra Bucks deals, should be some very cheap or free stuff.

Also, front cover has a Procter & Gamble deal for Toy Story 3. If you planned on purchasing this movie anyway, I’d purchase here. I don’t see how you’d find it any cheaper than $3.99 and you can combine the P&G sales items with the P&G coupons in today’s paper. Remember, the $25 threshhold they want for the movie is BEFORE any mfr coupons. I would think you can get your total down to at least $20 after coupons, so you’ll pay $20 plus $4 for the movie, not a bad deal imo.

And, when you’re all done with that, look for the Rayovac coupons and Toy Story 3 rebate deal. I haven’t read the specifics yet but I think we could stack the deals and get a rebate on the movie too.

CVS flu shot deal & tomorrow’s Coupons for Charity

Starting today, this week’s CVS ad has buy $30 worth of P&G products, get a free flu shot. I’m pretty excited about it, because my insurance never covers flu shots and every year I pay out of pocket. Last year they were $25 at Walgreen’s. But there was a P&G coupon insert in today’s paper, so I’m confident on getting my out of pocket total down, much below $30. To me this is a great deal, as I had planned on shelling out $25 for a flu shot anyway, so the P&G products are just a bonus! And if you get one, as at the pharmacy for your special coupon booklet, as advertised in the ad.

Tomorrow I plan on posting another Coupons for Charity ebay listing. Problem is, State Road is closed tomorrow. Not sure I’ll be able to get my coupons. So if it’s not up tomorrow, it will be on Tuesday.

Random deals

I’m taking a slight break for the weekend, Giant wore me out this week! Giant looks very blah next week, which is fine with me.

Starting tomorrow–superdoubles at Kmart, coupon value up to $1. Limit 5 per day. I’ll post any decent matchups if I see them.

CVS and Walgreen’s looking blah again, I’ll post anything extraordinary if I see it posted.

Superfresh has great deals this week, and I found out yesterday that if you get a 10% off coupon, it will come off of your pre-supercard savings. Very cool!

Acme has a Kraft deal and an Edy’s deal. Kraft is instant savings combined with a catalina. Edy’s catalina was not working yesterday, may want to hold off on buying that stuff if you can.

I get my Sunday paper today. Old Navy has good coupons 10/50 or 15/50 if your kids need back to school stuff. Good coupon inserts this week, an entire General Mills insert, so hopefully a good deal coming soon at Acme.

Staples has very good BTS deals, printable coupons online.

If I had to shop this week……..

I love getting the Sunday paper. In the winter time I curl up on the couch with my coffee, in the summer I go out on my patio in the morning with my coffee. I love Pennsylvania summers.

This morning I had time to look over most of the ads, overall a dull week. Lots of good deals to be had, but I certainly didn’t see anything that was “must do” in terms of a great freebie or moneymaker.

If I had to buy household essentials this week, I’d go to Kmart. They are offering several catalina deals, including a get $10 when you buy $35 Procter & Gamble. I would try stacking that, if you need the stuff, with the Hanes/Tide/Downy deal inside the flyer. Purchase what you need for that deal, and add to your P&G stack to get to $35, hopefully you’d get the $10 and the $5 back. I haven’t seen any reports yet of it working that way.

Hubby is brand loyal to Right Guard. So I’m going to do the Buy $20 get $5 for that, will only cost me $10 after coupons, get $5 back. Then I plan to get $35 worth of Natural Instincts, which I am brand loyal to. Use my $5 catalina from Right Guard, coupons–hopefully pay about $10, get $10 and $5 back. If that works, will turn around and do a diapers/wipes deal with Pampers stuff. They also have a good GM cereal deal. Purchase 4 boxes for $10, get another $4 off, or $6. $1.50 a box–and if you have coupons for it, even better. Lots of GM coupons in last week’s paper. Lots of P&G coupons in this week’s paper. Put together transactions of what you need, and after coupons and the $10 catalina, should be able to do well. Cashiers often get annoyed with me because I may do 2 or 3 back to back transactions when I get in line, but oh well. If it means I can roll my catalinas and get free or cheap stuff, too bad!

For groceries, I’d go to Superfresh. As I posted last week, they have several catalina deals going. Remember, at Superfresh (but not Kmart) you only need to get to your spending threshhold using shelf prices, not sale prices.

School/office supply deals galore this week–whatever you need, you should be able to find a good price on it at any of the big stores.

CVS and Walgreen’s leave me flat this week, which makes me regret even more not getting into CVS last week for diapers and photo books.

If you go to Acme, I have read online of shoppers being able to purchase an Acme gift card with the P&G catalina. Remember, works on shelf prices.
