I have a whole bunch of giveaways to celebrate the inauguration of Smart Spending Spot.
Here is how the giveaways will work:

1. After you read this post, leave a comment at the end telling us what your favorite section of The Daily Local or Delco Times (or your local paper)Â is. Leave your first name and last initial.
2. Go and like Smart Spending Spot on Facebook. When I pick winners at random from the comments, I will cross reference it to match your name on Facebook.
Every time we hit 25 more likes, a new prize is added. Right now it’s at about 60, and the first prize is a 3-month subscription to either The Daily Local or Delco Times. Even better, there will be two winners-if you are not in the service area of either the DL or DT, you will win a subscription of your choice. Think about it, FREE coupons for 3 months! What is better than enjoying your morning cup of coffee or tea with the local paper?
I will add another prize when we hit 100 likes. Sometimes the prize will be added to the kitty for the winner of the newspaper subscription, sometimes a random entry will be chosen and that prize will be given away instantly. Yes, you can win more than once. I use random dot org to pick winners.
I have lots of great prizes to give away, including-Boscov’s gift cards, magazine subscriptions, movie passes, $10 Amazon codes, Barnes & Noble gift card and more. This giveaway will run until midnight on Thursday, March 24. I’ll announce winner on Saturday.

Monday, March 21 edit: Yay! We’ve hit 100 likes so as promised, I’m adding prizes. I’m adding two prizes, one for now and one for later. The first prize is a $10 Amazon code for shopping on Amazon. That will go into the kitty and go to whoever wins the newspaper subscription.

I like the local section of the paper (second to the coupon section, of course).

My favorite section is the middle section where the coupons are. Other then that I really like the headliners best to be honest.

I used to subscribe to the newspaper just for coupons! Now I get a free local subscription, but it would be nice to get the Dallas Morning News subscriptions for 3 months. I really enjoyed the comics every Sunday! And getting the Target, Walmart, Walgreen’s, and CVS sales ad, etc.
I like the Frugal Living section best… Sara has some really great tips and shortcuts!
I admit to liking the word puzzles. That’s my daily challenge.

Store ads are my favorite! It’s like Xmas every week hoping to get the best deal. It feels like gambling sometimes. Do I use my coupon this week or wait for a better deal? Anyway congrats on the move. Keep up the good work!

The Daily Local News (front page)has always been a great source of “what is going on around me” I have not had a hard copy of the paper for years and now that I am back in Chester county (been in Lancaster county for a long time ) I would love to have a couple free months and of course the coupons are a win/win. :)
I occasionally get the Delco times at Wawa on the way home from church, even though I’m not from Delco… My favorite part of the paper is, of course, the coupons! The rest of my family like the Sunday Comics! :)

Well, I don’t get either one of those papers. But, in my own hometown paper, the coupons are my favorite part! 2nd favorite right now would be the real estate section. We have been sort of house hunting, so I like to look at all the pretty houses!

I like the community section and the coupons AND the ads. Though I must say that since I am a hotcouponworld.com member and have advance notice for all the deals, the ads are not that important. :)

Every week when I purchase the paper I will read the front page headlines and then head straight for the ads. My favorite part is of course the coupons!

My favorite is the personal sections where we have a penpal request from a dirty blonde prisoner in Nevada. Did I mention we have a REALLY small paper
