Here are my two receipts from yesterday and today. First one is from yesterday, 79% savings. That purchase included 10 boxes of Rice Krispies, 5 bags of M&Ms, 5 reusable grocery tote bags and 3 catalinas for a FREE gallon of milk. Plus, I’ve already clipped the UPCs and have submitted my $10 rebate.
Then, today’s weekly trip:
I always aim for 50% savings on my weekly trip and usually land between 30-50%. But, look at the item count-78 items. Then, if total the number of store coupons, mfr coupons etc., it comes to 86. That means that I had at least one deal-a sale, store coupon or mfr coupon, for every item. That’s right, if it’s not on sale or I don’t have a coupon, unless it’s absolutely necessary, we don’t buy it. I had several produce coupons this week too (look for peelies on the Kellogg’s!) which helped boost this along.
I’m having a great week there. I have plenty of food, plus I stuck to my budget-I aim for $100.
I did the exact same Rice Krispies deal today. Thanks for the tip. Now to find a deal on marshmallows… The KoP Acme will not accept more than one coupon per associated item. Like they would not take the M&Ms coupons and the $1/2 Kelloggs coupons. I try to reason with them all the time, but it never works. Still, such a great deal. Rebate, free milk, free M&Ms–crazy!
My Acme had the snowman marshmallows (Kraft) on clearance for $1. I had a $.50/2 tearpad that doubled–if you’ve traded with me recently on hcw or did an auction with me, you may have it–I’ve been sprinkling them around. So I got 2 bags for a buck, and I don’t care what shape they are since I’m going to melt them.
