Ok, I might be a day late, but definitely not a dollar short! This morning after CVS I quickly ran into Acme to get an ad. I have a few things to pick up tomorrow anyway (milk, bread, and NO! not because of the snow, because we’re out) and I wanted to see if there was anything else there worth my attention. What I posted last night was a compilation of various things I found online, but I really don’t get enthusiastic about it until I have the ad. So here goes:
Dannon cups 10 for $5, $1 coupon in last week’s inserts, $0.40 each, stock up price!
The favorite 4 for 19.99 is back. I like this deal as you can combine it with coupons and I always look for larger packages that will be $6 or $7 before being reduced to $5. Don’t forget at the entryway there are booklets with $1 coupons for any Lancaster Brand meat. Pick up four of those and your Favorite 4 just became $15.99.
Cherries are 2.99/lb. This piqued my interest only because we were watching Iron Chef last week and it was Battle Cherry.
Tastykakes are 1.99, definitely a stockup price, for as long as the expiration dates anyway. I’ve never tried freezing these.
I pick our lunch meat based on what is on sale, this week it will be the D&W turkey for 6.99 and the Hatfield VA baked ham for 5.99.
Nature Made vitamins are bogo. Coupons in last week’s paper, remember you can use two coupons on a bogo sale.
The Nature Sweet Cherry tomatoes are $2.50, usually 3.99. This is really the only grocery store tomato, imo, that is tolerable. Except for these, we will only buy PA farmed tomatoes in the summer. We just do without when they’re not in season. Raw anyway, still use canned & sauces for cooking stuff.
McCain potatoes are 2.50 and my kids like the smileys. I like them because they are about half the cooking time of the usual tater tots. Eight minutes makes a difference with hungry kiddos!
Some Kraft shredded cheese is 2.59. If the Philly mixed kind is included, there are $1 coupons out for it.
Lots of Acme brand products on sale, in that same coupon booklet I told you about, there’s a $2 off $10 purchase of Acme brand products.
Some Planters things on sale for 3.99 and there was a $1 coupon last week. Emerald nut stuff is 3.50, $1 coupon last week. I’m really trying to grasp the “nuts are healthy” thing and eat more of them, I just can’t get into it.
Lots of Special K stuff on sale, coupons last week.
Swiss Miss is $1 if you still have any of the $1 coupons kickin’ around. Kraft mac & cheese is .89 and I haven’t seen it under a dollar in quite some time. Halls cough drops are 0.99 and there were 0.35 coupons last week (will double!). Lots of Lysol stuff on sale, in this week’s inserts. Aveeno stuff is 15% off and coupons in this week’s paper.
Mott’s 6 packs of applesauce on sale for $2. I don’t have any coupons for this, but that’s the cheapest I’ve seen it since the Target deal last fall.
The back page of the ad is all about a Mega Meat Sale. Split chicken breasts are 0.99/lb. This is my stock up price but I won’t be stocking up as much, because we don’t grill as much this time of year. These are so much better than the boneless, skinless breasts. Pork Tenderloin is 4.99/lb, usually $7 plus a pound, so I’ll get some. The Simply Tender chops are 1.99/lb and we like those. Lots of other cuts of meat to choose from, make sure you check it out.
Enfamil and Good Start formulas are giving a $5 catalina when you buy 2. Can be combined with coupons or formula checks. Luvs are 7.99 if you have any of the 2.50 home mailer coupons, good deal.
The Finish/Quantum dish detergent is 2.99, use the 2.25 coupon from last week.
And lastly, there’s a coupon on the back for 0.70 beverages when you buy 10. Fuze, Powerade, vitaminwater, that kind of stuff.
Happy Shopping!
