One of the many reasons I love Eversave–they aren’t letting it get stale! Other deal sites are offering the same old, same old……but not Eversave. Today through the 8th, they are giving every Eversave member $5 towards a Save. That means the Wine.com offer–pay just $30 for $70 worth of wine. And with Eversave, if you’re new, you get $3 just for signing up. And many Saves offer you another $2 if you share it on your Facebook wall or Tweet it. I purchased the wine one yesterday and had $2 credit, got another $2 for sharing it. I may combine that with my new found $5 and get another.

Today’s online shopping Save:  A set of BeatTubes+ wireless speakers to the tune of $74. Compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled device for audio streaming up to 30 feet away. The compact shape and rechargeable battery make them perfect for traveling. This also makes a great gift for any music lover! Free shipping included!

There are spas, restaurants, wine, auto detailing…..lots to choose from. Get the Lock & Locks for just $18, or the digital picture frame for $19.

You know I love a wine deal!

I’m always game for cheap wine–and I mean price, not flavor/variety, ha ha. Here’s a deal I found from Virgin Wines (yes, the same airline/phone people).

A case of wine (12 bottles) is $69.99 plus $19.99 shipping. That’s actually a good price for shipping wine, we’ve shipped it before and it’s expensive! So roughly $90 for a case of wine shipped, or $7.50 a bottle. And……you get a free electric corkscrew with it. It all comes with a satisfaction guarantee. You can pick reds, whites or mixed. I think I’m going to try this. I mean, for me to either have some time without the kids, or I have to drag the kids to the liquor store (which I don’t always feel right about anyway), then they never have shopping carts for them, or they won’t sit in them, I’m always very afraid that they’re going to knock over a big display or something, ugh. This is so much easier. A case will last us a really long time and I won’t have to drive or be hassled with going to the store. If I get a variety I don’t like, I can get my money back or just give future bottles as gifts.

Nice bonus with the corkscrew too. My dad makes fun of me because I don’t know how to work a regular corkscrew. Maybe I’ll give this one to him, so he can see why I don’t do it manually.

My wine glass debacle-update

Last week I ran a blog giveaway for these wine glasses. I was so pleased with them. They were really fun to drink out of, it was perfect timing to pair them with the Royal Wedding. Just a few days after I got them, I broke one. It was on the drying rack by my sink and I just knocked it over. I posted a photo on the Facebook page and threw it away. A friend suggested I try Kennett Glass to get it fixed, so I dug it out of the trash and cleaned it off. I went there and they said they couldn’t fix it, but sent me down the street to At Mar Glass Labs. There I met a very nice older couple, owners of the business I assume as the woman said that her husband was a retired glassblower. He looked at the stem and the cup, and said that it couldn’t be fixed. Well, of course he said that I could glue it, but then shouldn’t ever use it, it would only be for display purposes. Bummer. The woman was really gushing at how beautful the glass was, and I told her the story behind it. In an odd twist, she actually used to make wine! She really kept commenting on the beautiful etching and gold trim, and how sad it was that I broke it. I told her where she could order her own set, I wonder if she will.

Then, in another weird turn of events, I heard from the blog prize winner. She received her pair of glasses yesterday but one was broken. So we decided to toast each other, from 1500 miles apart, with our singleton glasses. At least there’s very little chance I’ll break the foil cutter.

Wine Enthusiast, the sponsor of the contest, has a very nice selection of wine gift items. Make sure you check them out.

Another wine offer + it helps charities!

I got this offer today in my Facebook feed. I had originally ignored it when I saw it in my email (sorry!). It’s spend $35, get $75 worth of credit for another wine vendor. Pfft, whatever, right?

Well, then I saw that if you use the code MOMSROCK you’ll get 20% off. Now we’re talking $28 for $75 worth of wine. Ok, go ahead, I’m listening. I checked out the website of the company offering this deal to see what varieties they have. For every bottle of wine they sell, they donate a % to earth-friendly efforts and/or to the charity of your choice. It appears that if I purchase an $18 bottle of wine, $3 goes to supporting the planet, and $1.90 goes to the charity of my choice. So for my $28, I’ll get three bottles of wine, and $9 to earth charities, and $5.70 to the charity of my choice. Not a bad deal! Check it out!

Now, I just hope that their stuff is decent, and that I didn’t just spend $28 on what will become three bottles of cooking wine.
