Make Friday night family night with Swiss Premium Tea

I’m pretty picky about beverages. I should drink more water, but I really don’t like plain water. Sure, sometimes a tall cool glass of water is good, and necessary for the body, but I just don’t enjoy it. I don’t care for soda. I can’t have anything with artificial sweeteners, due to my migraines. My list gets shorter and shorter……and it comes down to pretty much iced tea, lemonades and other “ades.” Oh, did I mention I don’t care for sports drinks because they taste too salty to me? Yeah, maybe I am high maintenance, lol.

So when Swiss Tea asked if we wanted to do a review of their products here on Smart Spending Spot, I said “Sure!” Seemed like a good fit, since I do often purchase their products. In other odd quirks about me…….we currently have two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, and have owned “Swissies” as they are called, since 1998 or so. So my odd quirk is that I have an odd allegiance to all products that are Swiss or have the word Swiss in them. These are the weird things that go through my head as I shop–if you have a bunch of similar products lined up, these are the things I check off in my head before buying.

But, there has to be something about the products to make me purchase again, and Swiss has that. I’m not an HFCS hater, but do prefer products that don’t have it, if given the choice. I try to steer clear of preservatives. I like variety of items, since I limit myself so much in product categories. They have regular tea, green tea, and several other flavors. I tried the lemonade and the regular tea, because that is all my store had. Upon viewing the other choices online, I am anxious to try the green tea and get that for my husband. There are decaffeinated versions too.

What I also liked about Swiss Teas is the promo they have going on right now. Their current promo is a sweepstakes for “Make Friday Night Family Night” and I have blogged many times before about family fun nights. The  “Make Friday Night Family Night” sweepstakes is going on now until April 15th.  They’re giving away a home entertainment center valued at $3,500, or one of eight weekly prizes of a Nintendo Wii. Readers in the eligible states* may enter the Sweepstakes weekly for a chance to win. With kids, going out can be expensive, and quite frankly, a hassle at times. Someone always spills something, someone else doesn’t get their way, you know the drill. Check out the Swiss website for more ideas on creating your family fun nights, and enter the Swiss Sweeps for your chance to win. And try Swiss tea!
