Spotify: The Best in Online Listening

Have you checked out Spotify yet? I saw hype about it for about 2 months before I actually checked it out. All this time I had been listening to “that other online music site”.

The thing I like most about Spotify is that even though you can listen to stations with certain styles, you can also create personalized playlists. I love that because I like to listen to different things at different times. The biggest issue I have found with the radio stations and online music streaming  that choose your music for you based on some of the songs you like,  is when I am working out I want good upbeat music, and all too often “the next song” is completely inappropriate for my kids to listen to. Nothing like stopping every few minutes to change the music.

You can choose to have your music post to Facebook or shut that feature off. You can make your listening sessions private or share for inspiration with other friends using Spotify. It was easy to sign up and very easy to navigate.

Have you tried Spotify yet? I love it! I joined a few months ago. First it was only available in Europe, then here, but it was invite only like Pinterest and other similar programs, and I got an invite (I think) because I am a blogger. It’s very cool, I have it running on my laptop all the time. It has a zillion more songs than other web radio things, like Pandora.
