Target toy clearance

Looks like tomorrow will be the day for the big Target toy clearance. In past years, it has been the last Thursday in July. Several couponers have been in at various locations this week and asked, or reporting in that all of the clearanced toys are grouped in one location now. I won’t be going there tomorrow, but if there is something that you saw at 30% or 50% off, I would expect it to be 75% off tomorrow. Some of the items that moms have been watching are: Bakugan stuff, Lego, Barbie, Matchbox, some coupe car thing and some Fisher Price Lion thing for little ones (babies).

If you go, good luck! I hope what you want is still there, I love getting a great deal.

Print this to get 20% off your entire purchase at Peebles. At some point I need to get over there & check out their summer clearance items.

Acme deal-maybe not as good as we thought

I mentioned the Acme deal last night, now I’ve had time to look it over. I posted last night–it’s buy $30 worth of P&G, get $10 back to spend in the “gift card mall.” Sounds great, because I’m sure there are transactions that we could all make up that would get us to the $30 threshhold on shelf prices, then down to near or below $10 after sale prices and coupons.

Here’s the catch–

It appears, for now anyway, that all gift cards in the “gift card mall” start at $25 and go up from there. There are no generic gift cards out there, for say either Acme or a gas station, that are located in the “gift card mall.”

So, what this means–
Either we’re going to have to hope that cashiers don’t notice and just let us pass through.
Or we can convince cashiers and/or mgmt that the Acme cards should be included.
Or, they allow us to stack the $10, therefore we can do multiple transactions of P&G stuff, then they allow us to get a $50 gift card.

If you are a frequent customer of the stores/restaurants that are included in the “gift card mall,” then this still could be a good deal for you.

Stay tuned and I’ll post as soon as I know.

Goodwill 50% off sale

I’m actually not a huge fan of Goodwill for kids’ clothes, or any type of consignment for that matter. Lots of people shop that way for kids’ stuff, but I figure I rarely pay more than $3 per item for stuff brand new on clearance. I do look there for items I have difficulty getting a deal on-such as raincoats, rainboots & snow boots. And you can sometimes pick up cheap towels/blankets (for cars and dogs) and every once in a while I read where someone has found an awesome purse. It’s really about being in the right place at the right time.

This Saturday, July 31, they are having a 50% off sale. I read this in the Hockessin, DE weekly, so check your local Goodwill  to make sure it’s going on near you.
