Sorry about not posting for so long. It was my first week back to school and back to adjusting to working FT. But I do need to go food shopping, so here is some of what I see from the new Acme ad.

Keller’s butter is bogo and you can get a Keller’s printable coupon here. Remember that you should be able to use 2 coupons–one for each item, on a bogo offer.

The beef tenderloin is down to 6.99/lb, I knew I should have waited. You must buy a whole tenderloin and like I said, I wasn’t thrilled with the one I got. The tenderloin steaks were very good though, we had them the other night. I just would have liked to have gotten more out of my piece.

Edy’s is bogo again. So remember to keep checking your Avenu savings to see if you get the $2 e-coupon. It will take $2 off of both of them, so you end up paying $1.99 for two containers of icecream.

The Acme choc chip cookies are two for $5 and I really like them. They freeze ok for short periods of time.

Hatfield hotdogs are bogo and there have been coupons in recent inserts.

The Tropicana pure premium is $4.49 and there were $1 coupons in the paper maybe 2 weeks ago. It was a separate ad, not included with the regular coupon inserts. It was a thicker stock paper.

General Mills deal: Buy 10 items, get $5 off instantly. The coupons I have that correspond with this deal are–
$0.50 off one Nature Valley granola bar ($1 when doubled)
$0.50 off Cheerios snack mix ($1 when doubled)
$0.40 off the cookie mix ($0.80 when doubled)
$0.50 off two of the brownie mixes ($1 when doubled)
$1 off two boxes of Cheerios

And there are many other printables to go with this deal.

Also there are coupons from recent inserts for just about all of the items listed, so compare what you have with the ad (page 3 top), and what you need. Should make for some pretty good deals, but I unfortunately don’t see anything that will be free.

Snyder’s snacks are two for $4 and there were $1 off 2 coupons recently.

Eggo waffles are bogo, so if you still haven’t used the $1 off 2 coupons that were in the inserts a few weeks ago, here you go.

I think the soda deals look ok, but we don’t drink soda so I wouldn’t know for sure.

If you have your coupon inserts from 8/3, there are coupons in there for GUM toothbrushes. These are on sale at Acme until Thurday for $1. Your $0.50 or $0.75 coupons, doubled, will make them free or give you overage.

Also, don’t forget to log in to your Avenu and check your Avenu offers and compare them to what Kraft South Beach items are on sale. There also have been South Beach coupons in recent inserts. The sandwich wraps and frozen pizzas are ok, not terrific. But for what I paid for them (25-50 cents, or free) they make an ok lunch.
