Buy Fresh, Buy Local!

It’s Thursday, which means I have to decide if I want to go the Growers Market in West Grove, which is only on Thursdays, or wait until Saturday and go to New Garden. I’m am really enjoying summer tomatoes and corn right now, canteloupe too. Support your local growers and buy your produce at your local farmers market!

why should we have all the fun?

I know many of my readers are from the Philly area, but some are not. And why should we have all the fun? Lots of good deals going on in your stores too.

For my southern readers, Harris Teeter is also doing the Kellogg’s deal. So is Winn Dixie.

Maybe you want to check out the Kroger board, they always seem to be doing something. Or Publix.

No matter what the store, we can always find you a deal.

hang on to those receipts!

Like I’ve said in other posts, don’t throw away receipts! You never know when another offer will come along. Last week I posted about the Venus kits I got on clearance at Target. I purchased eight of them for $40, minus a $2 coupon for each, so $24. Then in this past Sunday’s paper, lo and behold, a rebate for $10 back when you buy $30 worth of Venus/Olay etc. (the link was provided in a post earlier this week) I had my receipt tossed in a drawer, so of course I’m submitting it. I’ll have paid $14 for eight kits–and each one has a razor & replacement cartridge, full size Olay body wash, full size Olay lotion. Can’t beat that!

And one of my readers has posted this link. It’s to get a free book when you buy three Bandaids products. I posted the Superfresh band aid deal yesterday. There’s also a bandaid deal at Target, another place to use the $3/3 coupon from Sunday’s paper. Thanks for the link Adriana!

Happy couponing, it’s a busy week for deals!

Giant/Kelloggs Deal

Fantastic deal going on at Giant this week. The various Keebler/Kelloggs products are on sale for 2 for $4 or 2 for $5. This includes Eggos, cereal, fruit snacks and more–see your specific store for the items. Then they are offering an instant savings of $5 when you buy 5 items. Sounds good, huh?

Wait–when you purchase 10 items, you not only will receive $10 in instant savings, but a $10 catalina!

If you purchased 10 of the $2 items-$20. Minus $10 in instant savings, pay $10…..get $10 back. Then use that catalina to pay for the next set of 10. Lather, rinse, repeat until you run out of room for storage.

Of course you can use coupons, there was a Kelloggs coupon in this past Sunday’s paper.

Even though this is a great deal, I may sit it out. I am overloaded with Nutri Grain bars and not sure I can eat another bowl of Crispix.

This should include Super G and Martin’s and the other Giant stores, again, check your store for specifics. I don’t believe it stacks, so I would only do 10 items at a time. Feel uncomfortable have $0 out of pocket when you roll it? Then just do several back to back transactions, take to car. Return with your $10 catalinas to do your regular weekly trip. Or hang on to them to see if there is a deal next week that we can roll them on.
