Looking to beat the winter blahs? How about trying a new recipe with fresh mushrooms? Friday & Saturday, The Mushroom Cap in Kennett Square is offering fresh picked mushrooms-buttons, medium and large, for $0.99/lb. They also sell the exotics like maitake, shiitake and oysters. Most mornings, they are picked before dawn and delivered right to the store, they don’t get any fresher?

And pffftt to those who are asking why not just buy them in the grocery store. I won’t buy corn on the cob at the grocery store, mushrooms is sort of the same thing. They’re just fresher and so much better when they are fresh picked.

If you haven’t yet signed up for ebates, what are you waiting for?

In case you didn’t know, you can now get to Groupon by going through Ebates and you’ll get 3% back on your purchase. Of course, Groupon has a good referral program, so if you see a friend/relative post a deal on Facebook that you want to do, be a pal and click through their link. Then next go around ask them to return the favor. Of course, maybe you just see it in your email and no one has posted it–just don’t order it through your email link, log in to ebates and go in that way.
