Acme ad, May 6-12, highlights & matchups

I posted yesterday about how disappointed I was in the Superfresh ad. Acme is slightly better. Not by much. Since I have so many $5 catalinas from Giant, I’ll probably return there next week to do my weekly trip.

Front page and flap has lots of flowers, candy, that kind of stuff, for Mothers’ day.

Dannon Yogurt 10 for $5, no coupons currently available

Hatfield bacon, bogo, check their website for printables, use a coupon on each item

Kelloggs cereals-1.99, coupons in each insert for the past 4-5 weeks I think, all the way back to 3/17

California Pizza Kitchen or Digiorno-$5, good price, $1.25 coupons last week

Doritos-bogo, coupons last week

Fresh Express-bogo, check your Avenu, I keep getting $.50 off and it is taking it off of both

Stouffers & Lean Cuisine-50% off, 4/3 inserts

Tropicana OJ-2 for $5, must buy 2; not sure if the price will work if you buy a third, because coupon from last week’s paper is $2 off 3. Good price!

Hatfield hot dogs-bogo

Yoplait Greek-$1, 3/13 and 4/17 inserts

Baileys creams-$1.50, look for $1 blinkies

One catalina offer, get $4 when you spend $12 on-Breyers, Magnum bars, Ben & Jerry’s, Starbucks ice cream, Klondike, Popsicle novelties. All are on sale for $3 each. Should work on shelf prices. Breyers coupons coming this Sunday.

Store coupon for Lipton Iced tea bottles-use store coupon to pay $9 for two 12 pks. I really like the citrus green tea. There was a $2/2 coupon in last week’s paper, and we should be able to stack a mfr with a store coupon, but this is one area as far as Acme’s coupon policy, that I always run into hassles. But 2 for $7 is a good price, makes it less than $0.30/bottle.

Kraft BBQ sauce-$0.89

Grande chips-BOGO! use two of the $1 coupons (4/17), pay only $1.49 for two big bags!

Snapple, 2 for $10, I just saw a $1 printable posted some place, will look for it.

Big can of olive oil-68oz, for $7.99. Great price!

Herr’s items, bogo, use the $1 printable on both

Kraft singles (2% is pictured!) $2.49, use the $0.75 printable and pay just $0.99

Beef tenderloin-7.99, but have to buy the whole big thing, filets-9.99

Prego-$1.50

Hmmm, maybe not such a bad week after all. I love when I really comb thru an ad and deal after deal pops up. I really really like the Grande chips, and last year one of my readers pointed out that they only have three ingredients listed on them-corn, oil, salt. Not a ton of all the preservatives. And they’re good. So I’ll definitely go for that, the Lipton tea, the cheap Kraft singles, the filet mignon, and maybe some free ice cream. Hafta check the shelf prices on that.

New printables available + reverse matchups

And, if you haven’t printed the Hasbro coupons & think you might want them, tomorrow will be the last day they are up.

This week’s diaper prices, April 25

Sorry so late with this one! For new readers, each week I summarize the prices at most of the big retailers for diapers. I only do Huggies & Pampers, and will highlight the store brand if there is a spectacular deal.

Pampers-coupons from 4/3 inserts plus tons of home mailers and inside-package coupons.

Huggies-printables on coupons toolbar, left hand side of this blog, and 4/17 inserts. In addition to the home mailers & other stuff available.

Acme-nothing listed, assume regular price.

Giant-advertising big box at $19.99 with free tub of wipes; also part of the $25/$100 deal, but rumor is that next week there is an overlapping $5/$20 catalina offer, so I’d wait if you don’t really need them.

Superfresh-nothing listed, assume regular price.

Target-interesting offer, buy three jumbo packs, get $5 GC. Three jumbo packs=$27, then minus any coupons you may have–hopefully the $2 or $3 ones. Not a bad deal, especially if you already have some previous GCs to roll.

Walgreen’s-advertising jumbo packs at $8.99, both brands. There are Walgreens coupons in the Infant Care booklet to stack with mfr coupons, but I keep reading that it’s not going through without hassles–it beeps and the cashiers have to force it in.

CVS-store brand is buy one, get one 50% off.

Kmart-huggies/pampers also jumbo packs for $8.99, store brand 6.99. Luvs advertised at 10.99, doesn’t give count though.

Dollar General- no ad this week.

Week of April 25-deals to check out

All right, time to get back in the swing of things, spring break is over. I have some Register Rewards to use up at Walgreens and some Extra Bucks for CVS, though none of them are going to expire this week. I’m glad it’s a slow week!

Walgreens-the only item I’m really interested in is the Stayfree. Cost is $2.99 with $2.99 back in RRs. $1 printables. There are also $1/1s in the 3/27 inserts. Will probably use teh $0.59 Fla-vor-ice packs for my fillers. I’d like to try the diapers but every place I read says the Walgreens coupons for the diapers are beeping, not sure it’s worth the hassle.

Acme-I see nothing great, just hope to get in & get out with just my usual produce, lunch meat & dairy items to get me through the week. I may do the $5 instant savings (back page of ad) if I have enough Nutri Grain coupons. Sadly, I guess $1.49 is now my stock up price for those, I haven’t seen them under that in a long time. You can check last week’s highlights & matchups for more details on that promo.

CVS-Slow week there too. I wonder if the Jergen’s Natural Glow will count towards Beauty Club spending? I think it will, right? I can buy two, I have $2 tearpad coupons for it, so pay $12. Get $5 back for the ECB deal, another $5 back because that will put me over another $50 threshold of spending. I like the self-tanner and my legs are so white!

We don’t use the Blink eye drops (free after extra bucks) so that would be a donation item. I may still get it though, since there are $1 coupons in 4/3 inserts.

Giant-if I have time (ha ha, like I ever have any extra time!) I want to check out the Kelloggs/Keebler/P&G deal at Giant. But, there supposedly is going to be a $5/$20 Pampers catalina offer next week, and the $25/$100 offer is still good next week too. Will be better to have overlapping deals.
