Good time for rolling…..at Walgreen’s

There’s a deal starting on Sunday at Walgreen’s that I want to do….and luckily there’s some good stuff prior to that.

First–a reminder on limitations on Walgreen’s Register Rewards. You cannot roll them on the same deal/item–the RRs will not print. Only 1 coupon per item, and a RR counts as a coupon.

This week: Edge/Skintimate shave cream is 2.99 with 3.00 RR back. I do not know of any coupons available. Saturday is last day to do this. I bought two, in two separate transactions (otherwise the RR won’t print for both) as my seed money. Check store flyer for specific varieties you need to purchase.

Then, starting Sunday–several free items, offering same amount of RR as is purchase price. Nivea bath wash (and there were $1 insert coupons last week for this). Bayer aspirin (check flyer for specific kind) and a few other things.

So I got my RR from the shave cream. Plan to roll that into the Nivea and the Bayer, and will actually gain $1 if I use the coupon.

Then..roll that into the Gatorade/photo deal. See flyer for specifics, but if you buy 4 six-packs of Gatorade, you get a RR for 75 free prints. I also have $2 peelies for each of my six-packs of Gatorade, that I found at Acme. Check your local supermarket or Acme, and see if they are there.

I’m backlogged on photos I want to print, so this is a good chance to catch up. I’ll need fillers if I use the Nivea and the Gatorade coupons, but overall, I think a cash investment of $14 will get me 2 cans of shave gel, 4 six-packs of Gatorade, one Nivea body wash, one Bayer and 75 photo prints.

Peebles Friends & Family

I was in Peebles yesterday and they gave me a coupon for this weekend. It’s a Friends & Family coupon good for 20% off my entire purchase. I would think if you asked for one, they’d give it to you. They also are doing 10% off all cosmetics, which is good if you use dept store cosmetics, I know they never really go on sale. Don’t forget to sign up for the email alert and you should receive another $5 coupon from them.

Definitely not as many clearance racks as usual, but I still was able to find a pair of Columbia cargo pants and a pair of Levi’s. After the two IPs from coupons.com (no longer available) I paid $21 for both.

Acme-V8 and Tropicana

Things I learned today:

If you get a coupon for the free Tropicana OJ, when you redeem it, your free OJ will count towards your next batch of 5 to earn a free one. Make sense?

The V8 printable for $2 off work on any flavor, not just the two listed on coupon. The Acme coupon in this week’s flyer, the one that makes the V8 $1.99 (free after $2 IP) only works on 2 bottles. Any more than 2, it did not take off. I had to return and repurchase. These are a good deal if you have the $1 insert coupon, makes them $0.99.

Some Conagra shelf prices

Here are some shelf prices for some Conagra items that I purchased yesterday. Remember, the shelf price is what will count towards your $25 threshhold, but the sale price is what you will actually pay. And then of course there are coupons!

Hebrew National franks-shelf price 6.49, sale price 3.50. IPs available on conagra website for $1/1.

Pam cooking spray-shelf price 3.99, sale price 2.99. I had insert coupons for $0.35 that doubled of course.

Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorn-shelf price 3.39, sale price 1.66. Coupons for $1 off 2 in tomorrow’s Inqy.

Peter Pan PB-shelf price 2.99, sale price 2.00. Tip: do not try to use the Skippy coupon that is out, like I did. It won’t go through, ha ha. I blame it on mommy brain.
