another Currie deal!

Locals, click on the Groupon button today. The Wilmington/Newark and the Philadelphia deal is another deal at Currie! I still haven’t used the first one I bought, but will probably buy this one too.

Any Winn Dixie Shoppers?

If so, then you want to check out the Groupon deal today, for Orlando. My friend pinksink over at hcw alerted me to this deal. If you use the Groupon affiliate button over there —> and then find today’s deal for Orlando. It is:

For $12:
four (4) $5 off a $30 purchase at Winn Dixie
four (4) $5 off a $25 purchase at Catherine’s
Free oil change at Firestone

Check the fine print, make sure that your Winn Dixie will take them. This is also good for shoppers who maybe don’t shop at Winn Dixie, but you have them nearby and your grocery store takes competitors’ coupons.

From the Groupon site:

“Pages upon pages of “half-off” and “buy-one-get-one” discounts fill Orlando’s Enjoy the City book, a cost castle securing discounts at dozens of diverse businesses. The markdown manual includes oil changes at Firestone, $20 savings at Winn Dixie, and numerous rollbacks at popular nosh spots, including Melting Pot, Shogun, Medieval Times, and Great American Cookie Company. With one use at the golf course, bowling center, or rental car agency, this discount diary pays for itself, giving its users more money to launch neighborhood NASA projects or to invest in start-up wishing wells.”

Are you a cat person?

I’m not. I like cats, even used to have them. Now my dogs won’t allow it, and I’m ok with that. But here is a contest I read about in Woman’s Day today, so if you’re a cat person, listen up–

Purina Cat Chow is sponsoring a contest and it starts tomorrow. Visit their website to enter. The contest if to be the official “Purina Cat Chow Correspondent.” They’re looking for someone to report on, well, cats. And the ad says the gig pays $50k for the year.

So if you like to write and you like cats, who knows, maybe you’ll win the contest!

Good luck!

PS-if it’s one of those internet popularity contests where you have to get people to go some place and click something, I’ll be happy to post it here for you.
