Coldwater Creek & Ikea sales

I got a postcard in the mail today–Coldwater Creek has the whole store on sale, 50% off or more. Now thru January 3. It appears that the sale is also live on their website. Don’t forget to use ebates and retailmenot to get even more % off.

Ikea is also having their semi annual clearance sale. Kids eat free this week too.

another Putamayo music sale

Putumayo Kids is our favorite music for kids. We have about a dozen of the CDs. The kids love, it’s catchy and it doesn’t make you want to stick a fork in your eye, like with some kids’ music. They have discontinued many titles and are offering them for $9 each, free shipping with $25 order. I think $27 for three of the albums is a decent deal. We rarely use them in the house (Pandora on itouch on docking station) but we use them in the car all the time. Don’t forget to enter the website via ebates.

New Balance sale

The semi-annual clearance sale at New Balance started today. I do not know if the prices are valid in stores too. If you shop online, don’t forget to use ebates and get 2.5% back. I love New Balance, even though there is snow on the ground, I think I may get a new pair of sandals at half off.

Proctor & Gamble gift sets

It’s that time of the year again…..time when couponers on chat boards everywhere talk about their free or almost free gift sets that they got at Walmart. And after several years of being disappointed, I am not even trying. Here’s how it usually works:

Day after Xmas, Walmart marks down their gift sets, including all the P&G ones, 50% off–and they’re usually only $8-$10 to begin with. This would be Fusion, Olay, Herbal Essences, etc. There are always corresponding coupons–either $4 off Fusion, $2-$5 off Olay…..then you purchase it really cheap and peruse the web for rebates.

For some reason, every time I check them at the Kennett Walmart, they have NEVER been marked down. Ever. And I’ve checked the past 3 or 4 years. But if you’re out doing returns or post-holiday shopping, you may want to check it out.
