Here’s a fun little freebie/moneymaker starting at Rite Aid next week.
Rite Aid has an +Up Reward promotion running 1/1-1/28 called Buy & Save: Purchase $100 or more of participating products, receive a $20 +Up Reward. The amount you spend will track on your receipt, and the $20 +Up Reward will print once you reach $100.
Starting Sunday, 1/1, Vanilla Visa Gift Cards are included in this promo. That means you can buy a $100 Visa Gift Card and get a $20 +Up Reward. According to the Vanilla Visa Website, the activation fee for this card is no more than $6.95 (may be lower in certain areas). You will pay this amount at purchase.
So here is the deal (starting Sunday, 1/1):
Buy a $100 Vanilla Visa Gift Card + $6.95 activation fee
Get $20 +Up Reward
Final Cost: $13.05 Moneymaker!

This is a great way to get back into the swing of things as far as couponing, in the New Year! I’m actually going to do this one, because if I recall correctly, Rite Aid was really hot last year at this time. Would be nice to start off with a $20 UP to get things going.
Smart Spending Spot will now be publishing Rite Aid matchups every week. Look for them on Thursday afternoons or Friday mornings, prior to the sales going live on Sundays.
Thanks Coupon Connections!
