Giving Walgreens a second glance-May 1-7

A few things at Walgreens are catching my eye, since I gave the ad a second look. Plus I picked up my inserts today, and sometimes things don’t click for me until I see both the ad and the coupon inserts in my hand.

Yesterday’s Red Plum had bogo Right Guard coupons and it’s bogo at the store. Free! Well, almost free for me. I think the coupon value is only good up to $4.49 and last time the RG stuff was $4.79. Still, $0.30 for two body washes or deodorants is a great price.

There’s a Foot Locker GC offer when you buy Gatorade, and Gatorade coupons in yesterday’s paper.

Lipton Tea 12 packs-that’s a good price for those, and it’s $2 off 2, or about $8 for two twelve packs.

The RR deal on the P&G cleaning items (page 5 of ad, top middle). It will work on sale prices, not shelf prices, but if you have the home mailer coupons for things like Swiffer, good deals to be had. Prices not listed in flyer, I’ll check it out tomorrow.

Movie ticket offer-buy 6 of the candies listed at $15. Use three of the $2/2 coupons from yesterday’s paper, pay $9. Get $7 back towards a movie ticket. Good deal for movie goers.

The Mead and 3m stuff I mentioned last week-don’t forget the 3m printables.

Use the yesterday’s Noxzema razor coupons and the razor deal is a small moneymaker. Razors are $3.99, use $2 coupon, pay $1.99 get $3 back!

LOTS and lots of bogo items and remember, Walgreens will allow you to use a coupon on each item. Schick Hydro, Speed Stick, Olay are just some of the brands that are bogo and have good coupons out right now.

I have $10 in RR to spend by Wednesday. My plan is this:

4 Right Guard items-4.79 each, on sale bogo, I have two bogo coupons; will cost me about $0.60

1 Noxzema razor-3.99, I have one $2 coupon, cost $1.99

1 Soleil item at 5.99, I have one $3 coupon, cost $2.99

1 Fusion razor, $9.89, I have $5 home mailer coupon, $4.89

$0.60+$1.99+$2.99+4.89=appx $10.50; will pay with $10 RR, don’t need any fillers because of bogo items. Get back $3 for Noxzema, $2 for Soleil, $4 for Fusion.
