Black Friday: Blu-Ray Player Round up

I need a Blu Ray player. I actually need a dvd player. Ours broke about 6 months ago and we need to replace it. I have been holding out for Black Friday in hopes of a “to die for” deal. I feel like all I have found is confusion. I consider myself to be technologically intelligent. Well, I use to – before looking at flat screen tvs and blu ray players. We want to get a blu ray player that also plays dvds. I am not going to even attempt to wow you with words like “upscaling dvds”. I barely know what the heck I am talking about!!
Instead I will take you on my “best deal” hunt. May as well share the information, right? I can at least give you prices. Sorry I can’t translate the tech language well.
Sometimes the easiest place to shop is online, so Amazon, here I come. (Ok, it totally helps that with the help of surveys and Swagbucks I have $60 in my Amazon account.) Stay tuned though. You never know if Amazon will give us a blu-ray player as a Gold Deal. That’s my bet. We will be sure to share it with you.

Black Friday-here I come!

A few weeks ago, I did a post about how much I hate Black Friday. But I think I might be changing my mind. Yesterday I was chatting with Heather, one of the new members here at SSS, and we made plans to go to CVS tomorrow morning at 8 am. Then today, I was with Laura, another local who helps me out occasionally with SSS, and we discussed going tonight at midnight instead. I’m even contemplating going to Walmart tomorrow night for a train set I want, at 10 pm! Who is this person, what have I become.
Today, the folks at Savings.com, the best deals for Black Friday, put out this video. I’m actually excited now, to go out–Laura gave me a Kohl’s savings pass, I have my CVS coupons lined up, gathering my ads for price matching at Walmart. Black Friday–here I come! I love this video and love that they included a connection to Philly. Yes, Rocky defines our city, but that’s ok.
