A few deals coming up at Acme (one starts today!)

Last week, when I posted about deals at Giant, I mentioned the Banana Boat sunscreen deal. The whole list of participating items is in that post. Apparently that is a national catalina offer, and is expected to start at Acme next week. Watch your ad for details. If you have a Giant, I still would recommend that you do it there if you can. Mainly because many of us have $5 catalinas to burn there, and they have dollar doublers this week and most of the corresponding coupons are $1 in value and therefore will not double at Acme. But, if you don’t have a Giant, you may want to check this deal out when it does come to Acme.

Also, I got a “warning catalina” for a P&G deal coming up. It’s a $5/$20 offer.

Acme (Supervalu) this week, May 22; a few freebies

Acme is having another dud of a week, though there are a few freebies to be had. Make sure you check your Avenu & printables before you go.

On the back page of ad, there’s another $5 instant savings deal. The Juicy Juice is an ok price and there are printables to go with it. And when I signed up for the Woman’s Freebies last week, I got a $1 off 1 for Nestle Drumsticks sent to my email. Those are a part of the instant savings deal.

If you got the $0.50/1 Lawry’s coupons from 5/15 inserts, they will double to make it free. And from that same insert, grab the $1 Ronzoni Garden Delight coupon and get some free pasta.

Go like Better Oats on Facebook, print your coupons and get a few free oatmeals, since that is also $1 this week. Best Life Buttery Spread is a buck, so free with coupon. And double check the Oscar Mayer section. I saw many items marked at $1 and I know there were $1 coupons last week. I gave mine away, so I’m not sure exactly of the wording, but could be a match.

ads & matchups-posting schedule

Since my readership (is that a word?) is growing all the time, welcome new readers. And so that you know what my posting style is like-I don’t post ads & matchups weeks and weeks in advance. Two-three days in advance, tops. I may tell you about one particular freebie or hot deal approaching, so you can trade for coupons in order to get ready, but that’s it. Personally, trying to plan out deals and shopping trips that far in advance confuses me. Most weeks I get my ads in the mail on Wednesdays. I am aware that weeks in advance I can see the ads online at the various deal sites, but I prefer to have the paper in my hands.

I usually cover Acme & Superfresh first, because their ads start on Fridays. Then I move on to CVS & Walgreens, because their deals start on Sundays. After I get those posted, I move on to Giant and Dollar General. Both of their ads also start on Sundays, but for some reason, I feel more of a sense of urgency in posting the pharmacy deals before those two. DG and Giant-you’re much less likely to run into stock/supply issues, imo.

And intermittently I just sprinkle in hot deals, freebies, daily deals and other things as I learn about them. Glad to have you here & thanks for being a fan!

Headed to Genuardi’s (Safeway) tomorrow!

I found some deals good enough to warrant a trip to Genuardi’s. And it’s across from my Walmart, so I’ll get the cheap wipes. And it’s across from Staples, so I’ll drop off my ink cartridges and get my free tape, and return shoes I bought last week at Famous Footwear, and……oh, right, sorry. Why am I going to Genaurdi’s?

First, I REALLY REALLY apologize for posting this the 3rd day of a 4-day deal, but boneless, skinless chicken breasts are $1.49 lb. You still have all day tomorrow to get there, and I promise to post it earlier next time. The weekends that I have class, I get really screwed up on posting.

Next, Softsoap hand soap is $0.99. $0.35 coupons in 5/1 inserts. They are DND5s, which means that they say “do not double” on them, but since they start with a 5, they will double unless the cashier pushes the DND button.

Next up, Viva. 6 roll packs for $4.99, limit 2. I happen to have a $3.50 catalina for this, that spit out at Acme a few weeks ago when I did the Bounty/P&G deal there. Or, here is a $0.50 printable that should double, making it $3.99 for 6 rolls. There’s also coupons in either the April or May All You.

Dixie & Vanity Fair stuff is $1.49.

Oscar Meyer stuff is $2.49, printables that will take it down to at least $1.99 or $1.49.

Banana Boat & Coppertone stuff is $6.99–be on lookout for $2 peelies & hangtags.

Neutrogena-20% off, Aveeno-20% off

Enfamil & Similac-$21.99, printables

Reynolds-$2.49, $1 coupons in today’s paper, size matches

$4 instant savings-not too many details listed, but “Buy 4 & save $4” mix & match, ad shows Post cereals, GM cereals and Kellogg’s cereals. Personally, I would first do four GM cereals, get it as low as possible and see if you get a milk catalina. You might, that offer is still running in many of the big chains.

Happy shopping & good luck!
