clearance deals-extra % off

Here is a short summary of some clearance sales going on this weekend:

Kmart is taking an extra 10% off a variety of items, plus up to 70% off clearance toys. Aeropostale is taking an extra 40% off items in its clearance section online, as long as you use the code CLEAR40. Express is knocking an extra 30% off clearance items online for men and women, but only though Monday.

Old Navy is taking up to 80% off for its in-store weekend sale by knocking an extra 40% off select clearance items. The sale began at 9 a.m. Friday and runs through Monday at 9 p.m., so you’ve got the whole long weekend to shop. As always, though, get there as early as possible while the good stuff is still available.

Was in the mood for Rite Aid after all….

After I posted, I got in the mood to go out for some freebies. Was at the Kennett Square Rite Aid at 9:04. Scored lots of free toilet paper and tissues. Oh, and the Mott’s applesauce. The bonus $3 UP rewards only worked for me when I purchased tissues as part of my transaction; it didn’t work if I just purchased 10 TP.

Any Sunday “must do” deals?

You may read on some boards or blogs from couponers that dutifully get up early every Sunday morning and run all over town to get deals. I don’t do that (anymore). While there was a time when I was in CVS every Sunday bright & early, I’m just more willing to let deals go. I still get excited about potential freebies, I just don’t feel the need to be there when they open. If I get there later in the week and they’re out, that’s ok. There’s always another deal around the corner.

If I was going to run to any store this morning, it would be Rite Aid. They have the Rite Aid brand toilet paper on sale for $1, with $1 UP rewards back. You can purchase as many as you wish. Bonus, if you buy 10 packs, you’ll get $13 back in UP rewards. I would expect this to be the hottest deal talked about this week.

Rite Aid also has Video Value coupons (VV) on their website, you get to print a coupon after watching a commercial. These can be combined with mfr coupons. Combining mfr coupons, VVs, UPs and their rebates leads to lots of freebies. Here are some highlights from hcw:

Viactiv – $6 – $3 mc (Sun. paper) – $3 Up = FREE
Tom’s toothpaste, mouthwash or deodorant $3.99 – 3 UP = $.99

RA facial tissue/toilet paper 4 pk – $1 – 1 UP = FREE!!

Dove shampoo/conditioner – $2.99 – $1 VV – 1 UP = $.99

Dixie BOGO. There are $2/2 (Dec VV) and $3/2 (Jan VV) ( Dixie ULTRA Plates) =?

Halls cough drops 2/$3 – 1 UP – $.50 VV – 2 ($.35 mc) = 2/.80

Gillette Mens Deo 3.97*8 = 31.76 – (4) BOGO coupons 12/27 PG = 15.88 oop, get 10.00 UPS = 5.88/8

Halls cough drops 2/$3 -1 up – .50 VV – BOGO = 2 FREE (assuming BOGO nets $1.50)

RA 250ct napkins bogo $1 +up wyb 2

Zantac 7.99
-5.00/1 printable
= 2.99 oop, get 2.00 UPS = .99

Keep in mind, that when it says “free” it’s working on the premise that that person already has some UPs to pay for the product. You may need to make an initial investment.

There are other Rite Aid deals this week, I’ll post later. Dogs are pestering me to go out!

$5 Rebate for Nature Made

Hopefully when I posted the summary of printables available earlier in the week, you snagged the $5  coupon for Nature Made. And hopefully you printed two per computer. I didn’t, I only printed from one computer and never got around to logging in and printing from the desktop. Phooey.

Because now there is a $5 rebate available online. You must purchase $30 worth.

You can still score good deals, it’s just that several $5 coupons of course make it better. Nature Made is still bogo at Acme and they will take two coupons on a bogo deal. I think there’s another Nature Made deal at Walgreen’s starting tomorrow, there is another offer that ends tonight.

The only vitamin I take is D. So I plan to get $60 worth of it, $30 after bogo sale, $20 after my coupons and $15 after my rebate. 75% off–I’ll take it!
