Big Lots ad-Sept 21

Here is the weekly ad for Big Lots that starts tomorrow. I don’t know if it’s the programmable one, but they have Roombas for $95. The Roomba has changed my life! I used to vacuum my house at least once a day, seriously. Now I program it to vacuum right before I get home, I love it.

There’s also a kid’s shopping cart, some Crayola items, other things you may want to consider for xmas gifts.

Acme ad-Sept 19-25

Well, my bubble is burst a little bit, but there’s still hope. I was so excited about getting a gas deal only to find there are no Exxons around here. I figure at some point I will earn a gas coupon, so I’m holding out hope that I can use it at a Mobil station. Obviously Acme is trying to get us to do all of our holiday grocery shopping at Acme, which is a smart strategy. I’ll continue to bounce between Giant and Acme depending on who is having a better week. This week’s ad is still ok, not great, just ok. Overall it does look better than Giant.

Perdue-whole chickens are bogo, I like having one or two in the freezer.

Nestle/Stouffer’s-there are items on sale and there were coupons last week. I ditched my coupons–I do not buy Nestle items, because of this.

Hamburger Helper-if you eat it, it’s $1 and there are almost always printables for this at bettycrocker.com or the other coupon printable sites.

Chef Boyardee–also a $1 and I saw coupons in Good Housekeeping that I received yesterday.

Soda-select sodas are $0.79 for 2-liters and they are brands that occasionally pop up on my Avenu savings. Keep checking yours–could be free, or good time to get some soda to have on hand for holiday guests.

Acme brand baking products-good coupons, good prices on front cover of circular.

Green Giant steamers-if you didn’t get your free ones at Giant, you can get them this week at Acme for $0.50 with coupon.

General Mills deal-spend $25, get $5 off instantly at checkout. Lots of coupons to go along with this in recent weeks.

Edy’s-on sale 3 for $10 and it is still showing up on my Avenu occasionally, would be $1.33 after Avenu savings.

Kleenex-$1, there are $1 off 3 coupons out there from recent weeks.

Stroehmann bread-$2.50 which sadly is a good price for bread these days.

CVS-week of Sept 21-diaper deal and I’m not ready!

Looks like a decent week at CVS. There’s a Kimberly Clark deal, which includes Huggies, for buy $25 get $10 ecb. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t been monitoring my ECBs that much and I’m afraid I don’t even have $25 ECBs, I think I only have $21. So I’m going to have to do some moneymaking deals today or tomorrow, and then again on Sunday, to build up my ECBs so that I can get some diapers. With the excedrin this week, and L’oreal & Nivea next week, I’ll be able to do it. And unfortunately I used my Viva coupons at Walmart last week.

There is a 2-day sale on the L’Oreal Advanced Revitalift for $11.99 with an $11.99 ECB (limit 1). There is a $3.00/1 coupon in July. This is Sunday & Monday only!

The Viva paper towels are part of the buy $25 get $10 in ECB. They are $6.49 each. Buy 4 @ $25.96, use your $0.75 coupons, making it $22.96 after coupons. Get $10 back, so $12.96 for 4 is a great price.

Buy Adidas deodorant @ $4.99 get a $4 ECB. There are $1 coupons out there if you check old circulars.

Nivea for Men Bodywash is $4.99 and you get a $4.99 ECB (limit 1). There is a $1.00 coupon back in July and there used to be printables available for this, check nivea.com.

Crest Pro Health 4.2oz is $2.99 and you get a $2.00 ECB (limit 2). Use the coupons from the P&G insert earlier in the month and it will be free or a quarter.

A gas deal! Updated 9/18

I see gas deals posted on the coupon boards all the time and I’m always jealous. Most of the time, the grocery store has a gas station on the premises. My brother and sister in law do this regularly. Finally a grocery store has paired up with a gas station–Acme and Exxon. This runs through January 8, 2009.

Spend $50, get $0.05 off per gallon
Up to Spend $200, get $0.35 off per gallon

Starts this Friday, Sept 19. That’s all I’ve looked at in the circular-I’ll post other deals after I have a chance to peruse it. But this is big! I easily spend $100 a week on groceries, so I’ll be saving $0.15 a gallon!

ETA: Ok, I looked online and there are no Exxons around here. The only one in SCC is way down on 896 in the Landenberg area. Northern DE has quite a few. So unless this also includes Mobil, there’s not much use for it around here. You can also check online, if you don’t work around here and want to check for one near your work. Bummer. I suppose I’ll still shop Acme if the deals are better than Giant for each week, and if I get a gas coupon perhaps I can pass them along to someone who can use them, or trade them for better coupons.
