nice moneymaker at Target

I read about a nice moneymaker deal at Target. The Scrubbing Bubbles extended-something-cleaner is 8.69. If you buy one, there was a coupon in last week’s paper to get a $5 gift card when you do. Perhaps check the Target website and maybe there is a printable on there somewhere, I haven’t checked. Also, in the 4/11 inserts, if you still have them hanging around, there was a coupon for $5 off this item. So, you purchase it with the coupon, pay 3.69. Get a $5 gift card back. Lather, rinse, repeat until you run out of coupons. And it appears that you don’t have to do this in separate transactions–buy as many as you have coupons for, all at once.

Yes, I loathe Target and have had multiple horrible experiences there, particularly with coupons. But you may want to try it, and I’m always game to share a deal that costs Target money.

no more stacking at peebles? maybe, maybe not

I had two $10 coupons from Peebles. One was my $10 birthday gift that they send out to card holders. The other was a $10 off any $10 purchase that came in a home mailer, also only sent out to cardholders. So wheeeeee….I was thinking I had $20 to spend. And I did, sort of.

When I tried to pay, I could only use one $10 thing per transaction, the register wouldn’t let her enter the second one. Boo. I hope that this was just because of the nature of these coupons. I’m hoping that in the future, if I have a “20% off entire purchase” coupon, that I can still stack it with sales and the $5 printable coupons that sometimes are out.

Only time will tell……won’t stop me from trying!

New Month-New Printables, will they double?

First, it’s June 3, a new month has begun. Remember that most of the printable sites like smartsource and coupons.com reset their printables at the beginning of each month.

Some coupons often say ‘Do Not Double’ on them. Look at the code at the bottom. If that code begins with a 9, that coupon will not double when scanned. If it begins with a 5, if it says “Do Not Double” on it, chances are that a cashier will still have to hit a special key on the register to prevent it from doubling. In other words, if you have a cashier who either doesn’t care or isn’t paying attention, and just scans it, it will double.

On the various sites, these coupons are referred to as either a “DND 5” or “DND 9” meaning that it says ‘Do Not Double’ and then references what it begins with. Some stores will still double these, or if you go through self checkout, it will double.

Ah-not fair! It’s almost swimsuit season!

With swimsuit season here, and me still trying to lose about 20lbs of baby weight (and said baby is 14m old!)….here are *3* freebie deals.

FREE Donut Day at Dunkin Donuts on June 4. Info HERE.

Then, the next day on June 5, I’ll just waddle my butt over to Friendly’s for some free ice cream.

And of course there is still time to get a reservation at Chick Fil A for free spicy chicken sandwich. That promo runs through Saturday, so you could eat a free chicken sandwich and follow it up with either a donut or ice cream, depending on the day.

Why do Donut Day and Ice Cream Day have to be back to back?
