10% gift card bonus at Acme

This the last week to get the gift card bonus at Acme. If you buy a $300 gift card, they’ll give you an extra $30. A good deal if you have the cash on hand.

Remember–studies show that consumers are less likely to care about prices when paying with a gift card, so be just as savvy and frugal when using it.

need a coffeemaker?

I have been needing a coffeemaker and just never got around to getting one. Then I got this email advertising one. With shipping it came to $29. I thought it was a good deal–a coffeemaker, thermal carafe, travel mug and 1 lb of coffee all for $29. The thermal carafe is what sealed the deal for me–when you wake at a different time than your spouse, it really comes in handy. The one thing I don’t really like about it is the logo plastered across the carafe. I don’t plan on keeping the membership since I find the coffee to be pretty expensive, I have one month to cancel it.

Kimberly Clark deal at Acme

I saw it on some boards that the KC deal at Acme (buy $20 get $5 oyno) is working with shelf prices. There also are some recent coupon inserts to correspond with these items. I don’t see anything that will be free after coupons and catalinas, but some good deals if you need paper products.

Here are some highlights from the ad (good thru this Thursday) and coupon matchups. Thanks to irishsaver on hcw for typing it up.

thinking of doing a coupon swap

I saw on the news a segment about coupon parties. This particular kind was run by a website and cost $25 to attend. I’ve read on some of the couponing boards about coupon swap parties that some people host. I will try to stop in the Avon Grove library in West Grove and see if they’ll let me do it there. It’s a good way to get coupons and tips and learn from each other. Stay tuned.
