My Acme transactions & going back tomorrow

I was just gathering up my receipts to do the P&G rebate. Here is the link to the form if you need it. Hitting $50 in P&G products should be no problem now!

Here’s what I did–

Transaction 1:
3 packs of Pampers-shelf price 10.69
Sale price-10.00
Minus three $1 coupons
Paid $27.00, got back $15 for buying $30 worth of P&G, $5 for buying $25 worth of baby stuff
Final-$7 oop for 3 packs of Pampers

Transaction 2:
2 bottles of Tide, shelf price 15.69
Sale Price: 10.99
Scanned two $1 coupons, then my card.
Paid $21.18, got $15 back for buying $30 worth of P&G
OOP: $6.18 for 2 of the BIG bottles of Tide

Transaction 3:
3 packs of Pampers wipes, shelf price 7.99
Sale price: 5.00
1 pack of Pampers diapers, shelf price 10.69
Sale Price: 10.00
Minus: $1 coupon for diapers; three $0.50 coupons (which doubled to $1) for wipes
**Note**I had $1.50 off Pampers wipes on my Avenu savings. This did not show up on the register, but I went to customer service and she gave me $4.50 in cash.
Paid $21, got $20 back–$15 for buying $30 worth of P&G, $5 for buying $25 worth of baby stuff.
OOP: $1 for 3 big packs of wipes and 1 diaper pack.

I did those 3 transactions back to back at self-checkout, then ran the stuff out to my car and went back in.

Transaction 4:
My weekly shopping trip, so it was big. $187 before coupons, $90 after coupons. I did use the $45 I had earned on the previous 3 transactions, and I earned another $15 for buying $30 worth of General Mills products. I am positive there were no P&G products in this transaction, only GM, as I was afraid that if I bought P&G, it wouldn’t roll. I bought 5 Progresso soups ($10 minus Qs), 4 yoplait yogurts ($10 minus Qs) and then $10 worth of the baking products listed, minus coupons of course. Also, my hubby had requested lots of stuff I didn’t have coupons for, so it was a higher bill than usual.

Then I got home, unloaded and realized I forgot lasagne noodles, and that Acme owed me $4.50 for the wipes, so I went back.

Transaction 5:
Another Tide-15.69 shelf price, 10.99 sale price
Huge pack of Bounty-14.99 shelf price, 10.00 sale price
Had $1 off Bounty on my Avenu. Also used $1 Bounty coupon and $1 Tide coupon, and used my $15 from previous transaction.
Paid $3.10 OOP, got $15 back, again for $30 worth of P&G

Transaction 6:
3 more packs of Pampers
Only had one $1 coupon left. Used that, plus the $15 from previous transaction, plus $10 from the previous baby transactions I did. Paid $4 oop, got another $20 back. For P&G and for buying baby stuff.

Whew!

Tomorrow my plan is:
7 boxes of Cheerios, shelf price 4.69.
Sale Price: 2.00
Another shopper on hcw reports that Cheerios are working at shelf price. So the 7 boxes will get me to $30.
Sale Price: $14
Minus: Seven $1.50 coupons that I pulled out of the packs of Pampers.
I should be paying $3.50 and getting $15 back.
Then I’ll have another $15 to work with, for a total of $30 in cats, plus one baby $5 cat.

I think I will do Bounty/Tide again. From there I’m going to check the shelf prices on Cascade and Downy and see what I can do there. I also have many more kids’ Yoplait coupons and Kevin loves that stuff. Depending on the exp dates on it, I may get brave and see if shelf prices work for that as well.

Don’t forget all the GM websites–eatbetteramerica.com, pillsbury.com, bettycrocker.com to get your IPs for the deal too.

If you try something and it works, please report back!

Acme! The 15/30 catalina

And the winner is……..Acme. That’s where I’m shopping this week.

The 15/30 deal is good–much better than I originally thought. First, on this thread on hotcouponworld you’ll see some discussion on what items have been tried.

I can confirm that I have purchased the Bounty and the Tide, and that both items work on shelf price, not sale price. Tide is shelf price 15.69 and Bounty is 14.99. So I only had to purchase 1 of each to hit my $30 threshhold. Here’s what I did–go to self-checkout, scan the two items first. Then scan any coupons you have. Scan your Acme card last. My final total came to less than $20 for those two items–and I got the $15 back.

Better yet–you can double dip on the baby deal. Buy three Pampers at $10 each to hit your $30. Use any coupons you have, and you’ll get $15 back as part of the Proctor & Gamble deal, and you’ll get another $5 back for the 5/25 baby deal.

And………even better yet……..I rolled them! I bought 3 more Pampers, used my $15 from Tide/Bounty, used the $5 from previous Pampers purchase…….and still got another $20 back.

I did 5 or 6 transactions, and after all was said & done, I ended up spending $3-$5 oop for over $30 worth of Proctor & Gamble products, whether it was Tide, Bounty or Pampers. $1 for a pack of diapers–I’ll take it! And, look for the Pampers that have a Cheerios ad on the front of the pack, there’s a $1.50 Cheerios coupon inside.

Use that coupon for……..Buy 7 boxes of Cheerios. Shelf price-$4.69, sale price $2. Seven boxes will get you to your $30 threshhold, scan boxes first, coupons second, card last. You will actually get paid to walk out the door with the Cheerios.

Thank you Acme–this makes it all worth putting up with your grouchy cashiers.

Acme or Superfresh…..or Acme or Superfresh

I’m taking a day just to chill and do nothing–surfing the web, clipping my coupons, sorting my binder. And on hcw I see that tomorrow Superfresh is starting triples again. They also have a P&G deal, but their’s is buy 40, get 10. That’s only a 25% return as compared to Acme’s 50% return on the 30/15 deal. And most P&G coupons that I have are $1 off one, so they wouldn’t be tripling anyway.

Stinks that they’re running triples two days after I just tossed all my 12/31 expireds. I really didn’t want to add another store to my program, but I have pretty much all but dropped Giant and Rite Aid, so there’s room. I still think I will go thru my coupon holder and see what $0.75 coupons I have that might make it worth it.

Happy Shopping!
