Superdoubles…at all Kmarts!

Reader Mary (thanks Mary!) reports that all Kmarts are having superdoubles, even if not advertised. I made this post about superdoubles a few days ago, in it you’ll find links to local store info. Can’t hurt to call & ask or stop by if you’re in the area.

I still think I’m going to sit this one out. I have much to do at work this week and not sure I can get there Saturday. And as other readers have said, sometimes you just need a break.

Good Luck & Happy Shopping.

Superdoubles in Newark–and read the comments

One of our readers, Mary, said that the Newark Kmart, near UD, is doing superdoubles. Way to go Mary–way to go in & ask. Never hurts to ask.

Also, another reader, Jennifer, found a way to get free Huggies wipes and free Hershey bars. I love free chocolate. Her idea is posted in one of the blog comments, so make sure you check them out.

CVS & Walgreen’s-Jan 11-17

There’s nothing interesting that I see at Walgreen’s this week, so I’m sitting it out.

CVS does have a few interesting deals. First, there are still the monthly deals which if you haven’t done, you can do those. Landenberg was still out of the throat coolers yesterday, I hope to get some of those before month’s end.

Febreze candles-FREE! Look for the holiday scents, apple cinnamon and pine something, I don’t remember, it was green. I think vanilla too. They had shelf tags that read $7.99 but when I took them over to the price scanner, it said ‘price with card $1.99.’ Use your $2 coupons from the recent P&G inserts and they’ll be free. I got 8 yesterday at the Landenberg store, have not checked other stores and don’t plan to because I have no more coupons left. There were still a few left at that store, if you go elsewhere, make sure you check the scanner first.

Makeup-While you’re at the scanner, make sure you stick your card under it and see if any coupons come out. I got $2 coupons for both Almay and Revlon, as well as a $2 off $10 cosmetic purchase. There is LOTS of makeup on clearance, so if you combine those store coupons with a mfr coupon, good chance of free. There are both Almay and Revlon coupons in today’s paper. It looks like most brands have at least some things on clearance, so if you have cabin fever, go wander the aisles with your binder and do matchups. I spent about 40 mins in there yesterday and ended up with over $100 worth of makeup for free, and there is still plenty left.

Other clearance–I saw diff varieties of Pantene shampoo, Infusium, shaving creams, razors–stuff in just about every aisle, on clearance. Take your coupon binder and go check it out, it’s a crappy weather day anyway. (speaking of, where is the snow I was promised?)

Holiday clearance–now at 75% off and still a decent selection.

Value packs-If you look at the shelves where the holiday used to be, there are various value packs of items. Each one has a red/yellow sticker on it telling you the price and how many ECBs you’ll get back. Cottonelle, Cheerios, granola bars, lots of stuff. There are corresponding mfr coupons for most of these items, but it will be hard to make it a free/break even deal. But still you’re not paying with actual money, so if you don’t mind burning some ECBs and you need the stuff, get it.

Soy Joy-multipack for $6, get $6 back. There are mfr coupons out there to make this a moneymaker. These things are horrible. I did this deal last year, and seriously, they’re like cardboard. I read where one mom fed them to the ducks with her toddler, that bad. I hate to even give them to the food pantry, but that’s what I did.

If you have ECBs built up from the big moneymaker holiday weeks, it’s a good time to let some go, you’ll get bang for your bucks.

Found great deals at Acme!!!! Run!

The Pampers baby wipes are still on sale and still rolling! The baby wipes deal is still alive and well!!!!! Go Go Go if you need them!

I went to the Pike Creek Acme this morning because it’s near my vet and I had to pick up meds. The special 15/30 tags are still hanging in front of the big packs of Pampers wipes. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I checked the dates–it says the deal is running til the 15th. Yipppeeee! I had $1.50 off a pack of Pampers wipes on my Avenu, too good to be true??

Nope. Got 4 packs, shelf price of 7.99, sale price of 5.00 and my Avenu took another $1.50 off each pack. And out came three $5 cats and the $5 baby cat. If it shows up on your Avenu it’s a $1 moneymaker. Only a buck, but hey I’ll take a buck to walk away with 800+ baby wipes. ETA: I was very careful to choose only the varieties of wipes that have the deal tag hanging in front of them. That way if it didn’t work, I was going to go to CS.

I did this deal twice and it worked twice. Unfortunately the $1.50 Avenu savings did not appear the second time, I’m not sure why. It says Limit 6. I had already purchased 4 so I was expecting another $3 to be taken off. It’s still a break even deal without Avenu.

Also, in front of the Ocean Spray juices there’s a tearpad for the free grapefruit wyb 2 Ocean Spray juices. Grab a few–first, the exp date is 2/28, so you’re extending the deal beyond what Acme is offering. Second, it’s good for ANY Ocean Spray juice, you aren’t limited to only buying Ruby Red.

Eggos: $3.59, they took 2 coupons on each bogo deal. Six boxes of Eggos for less than $2!

Lastly, I did, gulp, get 4 more boxes of cereal. I had four of the $0.75 IPs for Kix. They doubled to $1.50. So 4 boxes for $10, minus $6 in coupons=$4, and you get a $4.50 coupon back for milk. Since I know the milk coupon scans at the full value of $4.50, it is a $0.50 moneymaker. Couldn’t resist.

I can confirm that all of the above deals worked for me at Pike Creek Acme this morning, YMMV at your local store.

The cashier said $162.xx. I kinda chuckled and said “We’ll see.” The woman behind me was just gushing. “How do you do this? Where did you get those? How do you know all this?”

My final OOP: $52.xx. I paid.

And then I stared at the catalina machine and waited. And waited. It was thinking. It had much to think about. Then….it started….three $5 catalinas for the baby wipes, the $5 baby catalina, the $4.50 milk cat and lastly a $2 gerber catalina for buying Gerber graduates. I looked at her & said “Yep, I just paid $52, and the machine gave me back $26. And now I’m going to go home, fill out a rebate form, and Quaker oatmeal is going to send me another $5.”

I gave her the blog address & told her to keep in touch. Are you here?

ETA: Eek! I was so excited about the wipes working, I didn’t even look at any other P&G items to see if they still had the tags in front of them. So while you’re there, take a gander at the diapers and cleaning aisles, and let us know, ok? And to my hcw friends, I didn’t post this deal on there. I’m taking a break from that site for a little while. And let’s just say it’s not a self-imposed break. I’m not sure what I posted, but it was in violation of something. See you back on there soon.
