A few fun freebie websites

Here are a couple of websites for a new trendy type of marketing. The idea is, that marketers will send out a few thousand samples of a product, you try it, like it, and tell all your friends about it. Supposedly word-of-mouth marketing is the most effective type. In any event, it’s easy to do and takes very little time. For both of these websites, you just sign up and they send you email. If you’re interested in that particular product you sign up, if you’re not, you don’t.

The first is House Party. House party sends out kits to launch new products. You have to apply to host a House Party, so even though you like the product, it’s not guaranteed you’ll get it. But if you’re chosen, the package that you get is usually awesome. They’ve sent out Wiis and Playstations and all kinds of expensive stuff. Right now, I’ve applied to Fisher Price and Capri Sun house parties, just waiting to hear. I know that there is a Star Wars one out there right now too.

The other one is BzzAgent. I’ve been doing Bzzagent for several years and it’s fun. They e-mail you applications to join campaigns for products, and I’ve gotten lots of free products to try. They also give you coupons to use and hand out to friends to try the products. We’ve even tested vodka as a part of Bzzagent!
Another cool part about BzzAgent is that it is connected to MyPoints. So if you join Mypoints, you earn points towards more free stuff. You get the free stuff from Bzzagent, then fill out online reviews of what you thought. When you complete the surveys, you get more Mypoints. Collect the mypoints for even more free stuff! Through mypoints you can get cash from paypal or Amazon gift cards.

Superfresh: Aug 13-19; 2 full pages of catalina deals

I really think SF is going to be my new go-to store! I have a few minutes to highlight the deals, while I’m waiting for the chicken parm in the oven–yummy!

I don’t know the shelf prices of any of these items, but remember, use shelf price to get to the $ amounts, then pay sale price minus any coupons.

Reckitt items: Buy 20, get 7
Reckitt is Lysol and Finish detergent items
Most Lysol cleaners on sale for $2, I know there were coupons in last week’s paper
Finish 12 ct is 3.99
Airwick 2 for 5

7th Generation: buy 12 get 4 deal
Everything on sale, ranging from 2.50 for dish detergent ot 5.99 for the laundry detergent

Edy’s & Skinny cow: 4/12 deal

Dannon, Danimal’s, Stonyfield: 3/12 deal

Heluva dips, heluva good cheese, almond breeze, simply smart milk: 3/15 deal

Conagra: 5/20
Conagra is manwich, kid cuisine, peter pan, snack pack, chef boyardee
I know there are lots of coupons and a rebate for this in the All You magazine available at walmart.

Spaghettios, V8, Chunky soup: 5/20 deal

Kelloggs/Keebler: 5/35 deal

Coke/Fuze/Powerade: 5/20 deal

Earthwise, Tree Ripe, La Yogurt, Ssips: 3/12 deal

Remember, in most cases, I’ve never NOT been able to do this at Superfresh–you can pay for your next order with the catalina from the previous order. Look at your SF flyer for specific items included and check the store for sale prices. I don’t have time to list them all, but looks like an awesome week for rolling catalinas, if you use this stuff!

Cosmetics deal at Supervalu Stores (Acme, Albertson’s, etc.)

The Supervalu stores are running a $3 catalina when you buy $10 worth of L’oreal, Revlon or Cover Girl. I did read online somewhere that it’s not just Acme–it’s all the Supervalu stores.

Last week Revlon was on sale, this week it’s Cover Girl. And it seems I am always running to Acme for bananas–I can’t believe how many bananas we go through. But anyway, every time I pop in there (this promo is running about a month) I get two more cosmetic items. With the shelf price, then sale price, then use the $3 catalina plus any manufacturer’s coupons that I have–I’ve been getting two items each time for under a dollar. All the pressed powders, concealers, eye shadows, liners and blushes are in the range of 4.99-5.99, so it only takes two items to get to the $10 goal. And this week all CG was 30% off, so that takes it down…and down…..I’m well stocked with makeup.

Which is funny, because I don’t really wear makeup. This will last me years.
