Tomorrow’s CVS ad

Looks like another slow week at CVS. Good thing ECBs are good for a month. Week of Dec 21 looks very promising–so all the ECBs we earned on Black Friday weekend can be used then. This week:

Hershey’s spend $20 get $10 ECB (limit 1) There are various coupons out for the Bliss and the Hershey’s kisses that make this a decent deal.

Powerade 32oz. $1.59 Get $1.59 ECB (limit 1)

Energizer batteries spend $20 get $10

Duracell-spend $15 get $5 ECB (limit 1) If you have the $5/2 CVS Duracell coupons then this can be a moneymaker if you split it into 3 transactions; if you still have some mfr coupons left.

Acme, Walgreen’s and more……….

One more day left for the spend $25 get $5 deal at wags. The $5 you get back will roll, if you want to do another transaction. And, most couponers are reporting that the $25 is before coupons. So get a total up to $25, bring it as far down as you can with coupons, and get $5 back. Then you can turn around and do it all over again, this time using your newly-earned $5 RR too.

Back page of Acme ad–good deals on cookie mix and frosting, Betty Crocker. Both are 6 for 6, must buy 6. There were 0.50 coupons out recently for the frosting, so doubled coupon=free! The BC cookie mix has 0.40 coupons which doubled=0.20. Or, go to bettycrocker.com, boxtopsforeducation.com, smartsource or coupons.com–all have printables for these items.

The Chex deal, buy 3 boxes for 7.50, get 4 free 2 liters of Coke–not a bad deal. There are Chex coupons out there, printables too.

Herr’s is 3 for $6, must buy 3. Look for $0.35 peelies on some items. Peelies unfortunately do not double.

And don’t forget-tomorrow is last day for superdoubles at Kmart.

Cyber Monday

For the most part, Cyber Monday is all hype and not a lot of substance. It really just signifies the beginning of the online shopping season, but the deals are getting better and better as the day becomes more popular.

Don’t forget about Ebates! If you don’t have an Ebates account, get one here. It’s free easy money just for shopping online. You just have to remember to enter the shopping site through the Ebates site. The list of Ebates stores is here. But if we all have to do holiday shopping anyway, why not sit in the comfort of your own home, then just wait for a rebate check in the mail? If you are signing up for a new account, please use lightners at comcast dot net as your referral. We’ll both get $5 in our accounts.

One online shopping site that looks good is restaurant.com. They offer very cheap restaurant gift certificates. The downside is………there really aren’t any from southern Chester County. A few in Wilmington, several in Philly, but none close to here. But you may find some gifts there.

Saturday Night-what’s a couponer to do?

Get ready for superdoubles or triples! I’m going to spend my evening sorting. I never was the clubbing or partying type anyway.

Tomorrow is the 30th–LOTS of coupons expiring after that. Tomorrow also starts the superdoubles at Kmart. There are now several threads going on about this on hotcouponworld. Here is the link to the KMart board. Remember, they will double anything up to and including $2 coupons, no internet printables. Limit 4 of same coupon.

Also–when you are checking out, you need to make sure you watch carefully. They have a new register feature which prompts the cashier to match up the coupon to the item. My advice is this–let’s say you have the $2 Dove hair care coupon. Dove hair care is 3.79 at Kmart. If you have 4 Qs for this, put your 4 Doves on the belt, let them ring it, then hand them the 4 coupons so that when prompted, they will match it correctly.

If, let’s say you have another Unilever item (like Suave, Ragu or many others) and they just match it up to anything, you could lose money. It happened to me last time. It takes a little bit longer, just scout out the cashiers and look for a friendly one. If you’re at Pike Creek, there are several young, very friendly male cashiers that I like. The older women I do not care for.

Also, yesterday started another week of triples at Superfresh. And, they have Rayovac batteries on sale for 0.99. If you got the $1 coupon recently, I think it was just last week, free batteries.

I am taking a break from CVS for a while. The next couple of weeks look slow there and my ECBs are now all good until the 27th or 28th of December, so plenty of time to roll them.
