Quick deal roundup for this week

Is it just me, or is it a slow week for deals? I guess that’s to be expected. All the sales are focused on Mothers Day items like jewelry, flowers, candy, picture frames, perfume and other stuff like that.

And I apologize for being light on posting lately. What I’ve been doing instead of blogging: enjoying the sunshine, cleaning out closets & getting ready for our neighborhood yard sale, taking a class to become a BCEA (special ed advocate) and just mom stuff. As the great deals increase, so will my posts; that’s usually how it goes. Anyway, for this week, there are a few things to check out.

Acme-I posted last week about the P&G deal and gave an update. I still will probably do it two or three more times to get dog food & paper towels. But the P&G coupons aren’t that hot, nothing to make anything free. And my coupons, I noticed this week I got MANY more $1 off 2s instead of $1 off 1s. Gee, thanks P&G. And the $0.20 coupons–seriously? A bottle of Downy is $6 or $7, $0.40 isn’t even a 10% savings. How do you go from offering $2 off of Pampers wipes to offering $0.20 off? Ok, enough of that. But, I didn’t see anything on knockdown which is good, will all work on shelf prices. And if you need the stuff and have the good home mailer coupons, there are decent deals to be had. And the Wisk is a decent deal if you can find the clearance and have the $2 coupons.

Giant-I will check out the Pampers deal in conjunction with the $25/$100 offer and report back. I do want to check this one out.

CVS-Meh. Colgate will be a moneymaker, depending on what coupons you have for it, but it’s limit two. The Frito Lay items, the smaller ones are 3 for $1 and you get $1 back wyb three. So free, and you can do it 5x. But I’m not expecting much. I would expect that most stores won’t have enough on hand of what I like. After all, every couponer will be buying 15 items. My apologies–I should have posted this yesterday as a Sunday must-do deal, I bet by now there’s already not much left! They also have several P&G offers. I would like to get the Soleil which is cheap. I dislike that they are posting the deals in supercouponer format. Hmph. Overall not a terrible week, but no hot freebies, imo.

Walgreens-I have $10 in RR that I must spend this week, what to spend them on? I really don’t see anything, so will probably not roll them, just spend them. I do need envelopes which are on sale. The GUM flossers are free after RR and I think I may actually have coupons for those that I got inside of packages. Walgreens has also started posting some of their deals in supercouponer format.

Good week to stock up on razors, I guess.

Kmart-doing a $10/$35 P&G deal. Will work on sale prices, not shelf prices. Has always rolled for me.

Ulta-has a $3.50 off $10 coupon on front of flyer. Can be stacked with mfr coupons and sales. They are currently running sales on P&G stuff (Cover Girl, Olay, Pantene, Venus), Garnier, Neutrogena, Physicians Formula & Revlon–all of which currently have mfr coupons out. Check the PF stuff for “Try Me Free” rebate offers stuck to packages as peelies.

L.L.Bean-I haven’t tried it yet, but I read that using the code THANKYOU will get you an additional 20% off your purchase, plus they now offer FREE shipping all the time with no restrictions. Last time I found a code, I got the boys some of the unshrinkable tees which are only $8 each wyb three. Then it did take another % off with the code. I love these tees for them, they hold up very well. Can also be stacked with clearanced items and I saw several cute cropped pants I need to check more closely.

Target also offering several P&G items on a gift card deal. Not bad prices if you need the stuff and have coupons. Even better if you have other $5 GCs to roll. They also have an Aveeno GC deal.

I certainly will update with my news on the Giant deal which I hope to check out tomorrow. And other great deals as I find them!

Walgreen’s-

Did you get your $5 off $40 CVS coupon? + Pampers transaction

You have to go like CVS on Facebook, then you’ll get the offer. $5 off a $40 purchase will be emailed to you to print out. Actually, if you like this blog first on Facebook, I posted a direct link earlier today. Then, here is what you can do to make the most of the Procter & Gamble deal this week, especially if you need diapers.

Buy two of the Pampers Big Pack Boxes – $18.99
Buy one of the Crest Pro Health Rinse – $3.49
Get $10 Extra Bucks when you buy $30 worth of P&G products
Get $2.50 Extra Bucks when you buy Crest
Use your $5/$40 coupon
Use two of the $3/1 Pampers coupon from the P&G 4/3 inserts
Use the $1/1 Crest Rinse coupon from the P&G 4/3 inserts
= $16.97 for 2 big boxes of Pampers and a mouthwash

Woohoo! I have enough ECBs to do this deal I think. The long dry spell of diaper deals is over, hopefully, there have been plenty lately!

Any Sunday must-do deals?

For those just joining us–what makes a must-do deal for me: Either I think that the store is going to not have enough supply of the item, necessitating a Sunday trip. Or, the deal, although legit, is just too good to be true and the stores will figure it out, pull it and issue an apology (it happens!). Or, there are overlapping deals & coupons that only overlap for a day or so.

That being said……..nope. Nothing worth going out on a Sunday morning for. But there are some good deals out there that I’ll try to do this week if I have time.

CVS-The Crest stuff is free again, if you have the ECBs to pay for it initially, and have the $1 coupons. Gum Eez flosser are also free-$2 with $2 back.

There’s also a Doritos deal-buy 3 at 3 for $9, get $3 back. Not fantastic and there are rarely Doritos coupons to be had, but, there are rarely Doritos deals to be had either.

The Gold Bond body wash is $5, get $3 back, and there is a $2 coupon coming out tomorrow.

So as far as CVS goes, there are at least opportunities to roll your Extra Bucks if you need to, but nothing to get me out of my warm bed. And this is coming from someone who does go out on Thanksgiving Day to do deals.

Walgreen’s-The Purex is on sale for $1.99 and there were $1 coupons in 3/13 inserts. Hmph, I thought we looked at those coupons this morning at McDonald’s & determined they were expired? Note to self-go check my inserts.

I have $20 in Register Rewards from the Almay deal that expire this week, so I have to find something. There are lots of OK deals, but nothing great.

The Pantene/Herbal Essence deal is ok if you have the bogo coupons from 3/13. The U by Kotex deal is ok, but I seriously have enough of that stuff to last me to menopause. That’s on my “only if it’s free” list.

Kmart & Dollar General ads not posted any place yet. Oh well, did my weekly trip today. Will do one more return trip to Acme on Wed or Thurs. But everyone can sleep in!

Saturday Errand Picks-Lowe’s, Walgreen’s, CVS, Target, DG-freebies!

Yes, I’m doing this post early, I don’t normally do it until Friday night or Saturday morning. But I just got so busy this week and overlooked some deals or didn’t get around to posting them, sorry! Sometimes it’s very slow in trying to find deals, sometimes there are too many to keep track. And some of these deals are good and you may want to do them Friday or Saturday, so as not to miss out.

Lowe’s has a $10 off $50 offer available.

CVS-Physician’s Formula, offering a $7 Extra Care Buck when you buy any Physician’s Formula item. It’s reported to be working on all PF items, even those that are less than $7. NOT clearance items. To make it better, some of the items have a “try me free” rebate form stuck to them as a peelie. Remember that this rebate is only up to $11, so even if you spend more than that, you’ll only get $11 back. And, it’s limit 1 per household, so if you’ve already done it (I have) you may not get your check in the mail. But, there also are $5 off PF coupons spitting out of the magic coupon scanner, I was unfortunately not lucky enough to get one. Still I found a cool eyeliner I wanted to try for $7.89, used the $1 coupon from the 3/20 inserts and got my $7 back. You can stack both coupons if you are lucky enough to get the $5 one.

Target-the 3/13 inserts had $2 coupons for Purex crystals. On the Target website, there is a $1 store printable. Stack the coupons and get the item, currently on sale for $2.99, for FREE! (Locals, I won’t be using my coupons, will bring them on Saturday if anyone wants to run up there Sat. & get them.) Target website will limit you to two prints per computer.

Dollar General-for Saturday only, there is a $5/$20 apparel-only coupon. Good only Saturday. Oops, already said that. But I’ve found Sesame Street licensed apparel there before, for cheap. And I know my friends have found cute things there too–they carry Fisher Price and some Health Tex, I forget what other brands for kids. For adults, think of work t-shirts or stuff like that. They also sell scrubs if you need an extra set or two for your job.

See, that is a LOT of deals, too much to do in one day!
