Pediasure

I like to keep Pediasure on hand at home for when the boys aren’t feeling well. We had a ‘hypoglycemic episode’ with Kevin when he was a baby, which landed him in the picu at duPont, ever since then I’m paranoid when they don’t eat normally. If they are sick, I still can pretty much always get them to drink a chocolate Pediasure.

In tomorrow’s paper there are coupons for Pediasure and a “try me free” rebate. In addition, there is a deal on it at Rite Aid too. If you have UPs to use, you could use it on that, send in the rebate and thus convert your UPs back to cash. I think that’s what I’m going to do with my toilet paper UPs.

What to buy now

January is New Year’s Resolution month and football month. Any products related to those two things are on sale this month. Look for deals and stock up!

New Year’s Resolutions-think health, fitness, dieting, supplements, snack/meal replacement items, vitamins, fitness waters & nutritional drinks, etc.

Football-ha, the opposite of what I listed above! Chips, snacks, soda, anything that is used to make dips (salsa, cheese, cream cheese, refried beans, anything that is used to make ‘football food’ like chili, sloppy joes, bbq, appetizers, crackers, etc.

For the big game, Pepsi and Coke are going to try to outdo each other, trying to get you to purchase their product. If you drink soda, now is the time to get it.

What year was Acme Markets founded?

And more importantly, why should you care? Today at Acme they were celebrating their 120th anniversary. And over the loudspeaker the CS person said “We’re celebrating our 120th anniversary today, the first person that comes up here and tells me what year Acme was founded wins a $10 gift card.”

I had just entered the store and was in dairy, near the CS desk. Did the math on my cell phone, and won $10.

They did similar questions twice more while I was there, so if you go, be listening. And they had contests for kids and freebie snacks all over the place.

Check the Kraft/Nabisco display, there are coupon booklets attached. And check the Goldfish for peelies.

Only 42% savings on my weekly trip this week–I always aim for 50%. But still under my budget.
