Ok, time to go do a re-look of the Walgreen’s ad! I think I already tossed mine as I had not planned to go there this week. Here is the HCW discussion thread of this week’s ad. Hmm, the Walgreen’s brand diapers were already a decent deal this week-$3.99 after the baby booklet coupon. Now another $0.60 off each pack, not bad at all.

Acme ad, April 1-7, highlights & matchups

This will not contain any of the Kellogg’s info, that was in a previous post. As an aside, yes, it would be wonderful if the cereal that have the $0.70/1 coupons out for them, if they were included in the gas deal. Believe me, there’s nothing I’d enjoy more than to pay $2.70 for 10 boxes of cereal and then submit for a $10 rebate. But, I think that the best we’re going to do is $11.70 for 10 boxes of cereal & 3 gallons of milk, and get the $10 rebate. Or, pay $11.70 for 10 boxes of cereal, 3 gallons of milk, and no rebate. Manufacturers and retailers are getting stingier imo, the deals are getting harder to do, and I think this is the best we’re going to find. Put it in perspective–that’s still a fantastic deal.

Here are some other highlights:

Several meat, pork & seafood items at 40% off.

Eggs-$0.99/dozen, limit 2. Who knows, when the printables reset on April 1, maybe a new egg one will come out.

Yoplait-20 for 10, $1 off 10 coupons last week

Lunchables-$1

Land O Lakes spreadable butter & buttery tub-$1.50, $0.50 printable that should double

Breyers/Klondike-2 for 5

Acme nat cheese slices-2.99

Acme chunk or shredded, 8 oz-1.88; still a good price, I’d still try to get to Superfresh where it’s a $1 through tomorrow

Fresh Express-bogo

Kid Cuisine/Healthy Choice-4 for 5, must buy 4 (that’s a decent price for the kid cuisine, I keep them on hand for busy weeknights)

Marie Callendar/Healthy choice completes-4 for 9, must buy 4

Silk-$3

Gatorade is 10 for 10 again, and get 5 Propel free wyb 10

P&G items highlighted on back page, but I don’t see anything that I’d be interested in, or is a great deal. Maybe with the new inserts coming out this weekend & some shows up on esavings, I’ll reconsider.

FREE bone in turkey breast wyb a Lancaster Brand premium  boneless whole ham

Tangled is on sale and I’ve seen lots of online rebates posted, I’ll see what I can dig up.

Sorry, there really are not a lot of corresponding coupons to go with the sale items.

Doing a happy dance for a Kellogg’s deal at Acme-April 1-7; + Kellogg’s matchups only

Finally, a deal to get excited about! Here are the details:

FREE milk, up to $4.29 in value, coupon issued at checkout, when you purchase 3 participating Kellogg’s products. Offer available on ALL Kellogg’s cereals 8.9 oz+ and ALL Pop Tarts 8 ct.

All are 3 for $5.

Yay! ALL cereals, not just 4 or 5 kinds! And, the coupon is issued at checkout for the milk, and if we got by past deals, more likely than not, when you buy the milk, it will automatically deduct $4.29 regardless of what the cost of the milk is. According to the ad, you can stack this deal up to 9 boxes of cereal and get 3 milk coupons. In the past, the milk catalinas will have about a 2-week expiration date on them, so plan accordingly. My family goes through 5 gallons of milk a week, so I’m going to do this deal several times on Friday, get my milk and get some extra milk catalinas. Then, I’ll return to Acme next Thursday, last day of the promo, cash in more milk catalinas and get more that then will have a 2-week expiration date on them.

The coupon I’m most excited about is the $.70 off any one Special K multi grain oats, mini wheats touch of fruit or crunch nut. Even if you don’t do the gas rebate (these won’t qualify), after the coupon doubling, you’re paying $0.27 for a box of cereal; or $0.81 for three boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk! If you like those cereals, go check ebay and the clipping service TODAY and order your coupons.

The other coupons out are the $1 off two of Special K multi grain oats, mini wheats touch of fruit or crunch nut. Makes it $1.17 per box, you’d have to buy four for the milk, so $4.68 for four boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk.

Check your 3/6 and 3/27 inserts, those are the ones that had the Kellogg’s coupons in them. The Pop Tarts coupon is $1 off 3, so not too bad. $4 for 3 boxes of Poptarts and a gallon of milk.

Price for cereal and poptarts is three for $5, or $1.67 each. And, remember yesterday’s post–get a $10 gift card when you buy 10 Kellogg’s cereals. It’s a printable rebate form, print your 5 today before it gets pulled.

For the rebate though, if you want to stack the cereal/milk deal with the gas card offer, the gas card offer was only on the healthier options. The sugary stuff like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks are not included. Here is what is included in the gas card deal:

All Bran Original, All Bran Bran Buds, All Bran Complete Wheat Flakes, Smart Start strong heart, Crispix, raisin bran, product 19 (who knew they still make that!), raisin bran extra, fruit harvest strawberry or blueberry, rice krispies, corn flakes touch of honey, raisin bran crunch, smart start toasted oats. Whew, think that’s it. In addition to the banner I posted earlier, there are many, many other “inside package” coupons to go along with this deal. Check the hcw database if you need specifics, but usually the package will tell you on the outside if there are coupons inside. (Locals! I’ll bring my extras on Saturday)

Kellogg’s Printables– this one is going away after 3/31, register & print asap!

Even without coupons, $5 for 3 boxes of cereal + a gallon of milk is a good price. But of course, the goal is to get it for much less than that.

If you have coupons:

$1/2=$1.17 per box, have to buy in pairs though, so you’d do best to buy 6 for the milks.

$1/1=$0.67 per box

$0.70/1=$0.27 per box

$0.75/1=$0.17 per box.

And remember to factor in, if you’re doing the gas card, that technically you’re getting another $1 back per box.

I’m way behind on chores today, will do the rest of the matchups later!
