Walgreen’s moneymaker & Kellogg’s coupons

First, there are $1 off one Kellogg’s coupons at coupons.com. Good for the month of January. I know there is a Kellogg’s deal coming up at Walgreen’s, Kmart will be doing superdoubles again, so they may come in handy. Print them now before print limit is reached and they pull them.

Second, look at this thread on hotcouponworld about a moneymaker on Robitussin/Dimetapp.A great deal if you have gift card money, RRs to spend, or need cough/cold medicine and don’t mind shelling out $10 oop. There are too many details to list, that’s why I’m just posting the link to the thread. But basically, you pay $10 for 5 boxes of cold medicine, and walk out with $20 in RR. I have not tried this deal and do not plan to. I just gave away dozens of boxes of this stuff to a friend. Apparently the FDA or CDC or AAP or someone now recommends not giving any cough/cold medicine to children under age 4. So rather than hold on to it, I gave it to a friend with older children.

Lastly, when I was in the Avondale Walgreen’s the other day, the cashier commented on how well I did that day. Then she said that the Happy Harry’s on Route 7, I assume she means Lantana Square, has better deals. Not sure what that means, but if you’re in the area, you may want to check it out.

Walgreen’s holiday clearance

Run, don’t walk…………to Walgreen’s clearance, if you have coupons!

Hershey’s Bliss–buy the holiday ones for 75% off, use the $2.50 off 2 bags mfr coupon, and the $1 off 2 bags IVC coupon in the monthly booklet. I got lots of overage! After the 75% off, it’s $2.14 for 2 bags, then you have $2.50+ $1.00 in coupons! woo hoo!

Other Hershey’s–$2.50 a bag, or $0.63 after 75% off. Use the $1.50 off 3 bags mfr coupon that was out.

Fructis–clearanced to $2.19; use the $2 coupon in the wags monthly booklet, plus the $1 mfr coupon if you have it. More overage!

I got: 10 bags of Bliss, 3 bags of Hershey’s candy, 3 things of Fructis, 1 Revlon Matte blush, 4 gift totes….and a partridge in a pear tree. For $1.08. Plus I’m getting $11 back in rebates for the blush.

taking a holiday break

I’m going to be taking a break for the holidays. There aren’t many bargains to be had, other than the after-xmas sales on xmas supplies. One reader posted that Walgreen’s is going to 75% off, so you may want to try there.

The next two sales flyers for CVS are dull. The vitamin deal is decent if you need vitamins, but other than that, I guess I’m going to hang on to my ECBs, they’re good til 1/21. Hopefully better opportunities will come up before then.

Acme ad is boring. So is Walgreen’s. I don’t think there are any coupon inserts today/tomorrow except for maybe a P&G insert. I’m sure we all have tons of cleaning out to do–LOTS of coupons expire 12/31.

So since there’s not much worth writing about and I have tons of projects around the house that I want to do, I probably won’t post much.

a good morning

I hit several stores this morning–Penney’s, Kohl’s, Yankee Candle and Hallmark. All were having fantastic deals that made it worth it to go out. I don’t know how much will be left as the week progresses, but good luck to you if you go.

Hallmark: 40% off all holiday stuff
Penney’s: great sales plus 2 coupons found at front of store-$10 off $50 and $15 off $75
Kohl’s: great sales plus extra 10%
Yankee Candle: the $18 jar candles are $10, the biggest ones are 2 for 25.
