Sorry been out of touch

I’ve had lots going on the past few days, so haven’t posted. Many couponers on the various sites are excited about the upcoming week–me, not so much.

Acme: Acme has a buy $20 get $10 oyno with conagra products. Details on back page of flyer. I can’t find one thing listed that we eat/use, so I’ll be sitting this one out. There are lots of corresponding insert coupons though, including many in the 11/9 papers.

CVS: A few items free after ECBs, but I don’t even know if I’ll make the trip. Garnier hair care, Glaceau water and a L’oreal item. Eh.

Walgreen’s: Baking items for xmas have lots of corresponding coupons. Cheap chocolate. Other than that, not too much.

I see this as a slow week, which I’m glad for.

Hi Lisa – Great blog. I love it because you are local to me:) I usually shop at Super Walmart (now that we have one in Kop) and Acme. And, of couse, I’m now addicted to CVS. Here is my deal from this week.

They were all out of the Revitalift, and they told me no rainchecks. This is not correct b/c I checked on hotcouponworld.com and called CVS customer care. They are issuing me a “free” raincheck/coupon via snail mail. Also, called the store and talked to the manager and he said next time just ask for a manager. Thought I would share in case someone else didn’t know.

My first transaction was a new prescription. I used a Rite Aid transfer coupon and got a $30 gift card!!

Second transaction was the Garnier Fructis and a Monster Java (DH lives on these. I misread the sign and only bought one. Didn’t realize you had to buy 2 for the ecb until it was too late–the cashier was already onto transaction #3.)

    Third transaction
Kung Fu Panda $6.99 after coupons (19.99-10.00 auto discount when you buy 3 pkg of Energizer batteries, 9.99-3.00 coupon from energizer.com/kungfupanda)
3 packages of Energizer batteries $4.99 each after coupons (3 $1 off coupons)
2 Hershey’s special dark bars $.50 after coupons (BOGO coupon)
2 Lindt Excellance bars $2.00 after coupons (BOGO coupon–didn’t try to stack the $.75 off, maybe I should have?)
2 Colgate Total toothpaste $.54 after coupons (.75 coupon, plus random ecb that printed with second transaction)
1 CVS jar of peanuts $2
Also used the $2 garnier ecb and a $5/20

So, essentially total was about $20. Had a slight issue where the cashier missed some coupons, so got those back in cash–they were on the counter I didn’t do it on purpose. So, I overpaid on tax a little, but everything was FREE with my gift card. YAY!
