Lots to do this weekend!
The Borders stores are having a free reading time in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. It’s this Saturday, 2 pm. Their advertising says best for ages 6-10. Double check with your local store. We went to the Elmo thing last weekend and it was fun. It included a story (which my kids interrupted multiple times), a craft and a snack.
First Friday events-lots of little small towns across America do “First Friday” events. Kennett Square is doing a Mardi Gras theme. I saw that Bethlehem is doing a First Friday too; if you go, make sure you stop in at Shuze–they’re having a sale!
Locals-go see the Kennett Symphony, for FREE! This weekend only. I took my 4-year-old to the free concert at Christmas time & he loved it.
Check the Lowe’s Build and Grow website for their clinics, held almost every Saturday at 10 am.
Today is the last day to get the two movie tickets for $9 from Groupon. This Fandango deal has gone national and is available in all cities, today only!
Here is the link to the Chester County Library System calendar. Some interesting workshops, maybe one near you.
Tonight at 7 pm at the Bayard Taylor library in Kennett Square-Creating a Meaningful High School Experience. Seminar.
La Michocana ice cream in Kennett Square is having their seasonal grand opening this Saturday, check it out. I’ve never been there, but I understand that their ice cream is fantastic. Where else can you get corn flavored ice cream!?!
The annual AAUW used book sale at the Concord Mall is going on this weekend. I love cheap books!
If you skip out of work a bit early on Friday to get a head start on the weekend, stop in at Chick Fil A from 2-4 for free fries. Nothing like a free afternoon snack!
Bugaboo Creek/Charlie Brown’s has a $5 off $20 printable again.
If you have teen girls, make sure you check out the Prom Dress consignment event at the Growing Tree in Kennett Square. Proms have gotten so expensive lately, and we have some fantastic dresses at a great price.
