Correction-I think Amazon fixed the diaper glitch

I just spent about 20 minutes trying to re-do the Amazon diaper deal that I did last summer. I think that Amazon figured out what was going on (that they were selling diapers at a loss, lol) and fixed a few things.

First, the subscription service. Every item that I chose for the subscription service only gave me a 15% discount, not 30% as it had been. Also, once I chose a subscription item, the site hustled me right through to checkout. It did not ever give me an option to add additional items. I even went all the way through once, then went into my email and canceled the order. I tried a second time, this time much more slowly and really paying attention to look for other options than what I was given. Even if you choose the subscription service and click to see if it’s in your cart, mine wasn’t there. It seems they are now treating the subscription service as something different than choosing a regular item.

This is not really a big deal unless like me, you have more than one child in diapers. Since all of the various discount codes and promotional codes can only be used once, I then had to choose which order I wanted to apply it to. And it appears that they’ve changed up their e-coupons somewhat. It would only allow me to apply the $1.50 e-coupon to some of the sizes, not every size.

I decided to forego the 15% discount for the subscription and just added big single boxes to my cart. I had two separate 20% Parents magazine codes (Dec and Jan) that I found at my pediatrician’s office plus the $10 home mailer code. I also had a $5 Swagbucks code, a $10 gift code I got for being a moderator on hotcouponworld, plus the $20 one I got for free from LivingSocial.

At the end of it all, it was still a great deal. Over 400 diapers delivered to my home for just under $0.09 each.

If someone has a different or better experience, please let the rest of us know, and good luck!

That's weird. Maybe they have changed it for new subscribe & save orders? They are still honoring the 30% on previous orders set up. I have one coming next week and I just checked it.

  2. I'm glad it works for you. I must have submitted three or four other orders and then canceled them, trying to get it to work. I was still pleased with the price I paid. I'll just have to stick to CVS ECBs for my diapers.
