Wall Street Journal- 6 months for free

New subscribers only. This actually did work, I signed up for it last time it was going around. The downside was that I really had no way of putting the delivery on hold while we went on vacation, since you don’t actually order it from the WSJ. And I never got a bill or anything, so I had no idea who to contact. I like getting a daily paper, but this one does not have coupon inserts, ha ha.

Some sites for Moms to check out

In case you missed these when I posted them before (welcome new followers!), here are some sites that Moms might be interested in. Yes, both are FREE!

About One-allows you to organize ALL your family stuff in one place; medical records, school records and so on.

Cafe Mom-discussion site for moms; I found these sites particularly helpful when I was pregnant and had small babies.

Pampers Wipes-$0.02 each

And I mean $0.02 per wipe, not each pack! $0.02 is my base price–I really don’t like to pay more than that unless I absolutely have to. As a reference point, think of your average tub of wipes at the store–it holds anywhere from 64-72 wipes per tub. And what is the price–sometimes as high as $3.50 or more! That’s over $0.04 per wipe, no thanks.

There is an offer on Amazon right now on wipes, pick subscribe & save to get the lower price. You can unsubscribe at any time after it’s shipped. If you need wipes, this is a decent deal until we find a deal to use the $1 Huggies wipes coupons in tomorrow’s paper!

You know I love a wine deal!

I’m always game for cheap wine–and I mean price, not flavor/variety, ha ha. Here’s a deal I found from Virgin Wines (yes, the same airline/phone people).

A case of wine (12 bottles) is $69.99 plus $19.99 shipping. That’s actually a good price for shipping wine, we’ve shipped it before and it’s expensive! So roughly $90 for a case of wine shipped, or $7.50 a bottle. And……you get a free electric corkscrew with it. It all comes with a satisfaction guarantee. You can pick reds, whites or mixed. I think I’m going to try this. I mean, for me to either have some time without the kids, or I have to drag the kids to the liquor store (which I don’t always feel right about anyway), then they never have shopping carts for them, or they won’t sit in them, I’m always very afraid that they’re going to knock over a big display or something, ugh. This is so much easier. A case will last us a really long time and I won’t have to drive or be hassled with going to the store. If I get a variety I don’t like, I can get my money back or just give future bottles as gifts.

Nice bonus with the corkscrew too. My dad makes fun of me because I don’t know how to work a regular corkscrew. Maybe I’ll give this one to him, so he can see why I don’t do it manually.
