The Wilmington/Newark Groupon has some awesome deals right now-I was very much interested in the lawn aerating, feeding & weeding, but it’s not in my county. There’s also a deal for the Brandywine River Museum, Glamour Magazine for $6 a year, a nice resort in Galloway will only be $112 after you get the 10% back!

Fun & Frugal Weekends! April Fool’s weekend!

No jokes here, just some good options for your weekend.

First, Clipper Magazine is arriving in homes this week. Mine had coupons on the front for the new Japanese restaurant in Avondale, and inside there were two good coupons for TGIFriday’s–a $5 off $15 and a 20% off entire table.

Borders-no events listed.

Lowe’s-no events listed.

Barnes & Noble-events are very location specific. There are a few kids storytimes listed in our region.

Home Depot-first weekend of month=kids clinics. This month’s clinic is a planter basket.

Saturday-for Chester county and other southern counties it’s opening day for trout season. Licenses are relatively inexpensive and there are many places to borrow rods & tackle for free. And kids don’t need licenses. Can’t get much cheaper than that-especially if you catch your dinner.

Saturday-the CC Exton Library is having a class on photoshop. Call 610.280.2666 fmi.

The Kennett Library is having an Anime club at noon on Saturday. Ages 13+, call 444.2702 fmi.

Kennett Square if having First Friday. Ironically the theme is Beach Party, and the weather forecast is for snow. Ok, ok, I know that it’s probably not going to snow down here. If you come to town, please stop in at The Growing Tree. We have gotten in so many neat things this week for girls and for women. All the good names-Seven for all Mankind, Ann Taylor, Chip & Pepper, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Baby Lulu….all at half of retail price or less. There also will be various artists featured at the different stores and it’s just a great opportunity to stay local and have a good time.

If you feel like venturing up to Montgomery county, check out the smartmomsale. This is a big sale and it gets very crowded, get there early if you want good selection.

If you want Chinese take out, order online from PFChang’s, use the codes HOOPS and get 20% off your order-Sat/Sun/Mon.

And, like every other Saturday, join us at the Kennett McDonald’s at 8 am on Saturday if you want to learn the ins & outs of couponing. Lots of deals to discuss this week!

Another Family Fun magazine deal

Got this offer in my email-

Mamapedia is offering Family Fun Magazine for $1 a year. It’s on sale for $5 actually, but use the code INTRO4 and it will take $4 off.

I always receive this magazine, because I can always find it free or close to it. And I like it. I just made these yummy white chocolate pretzel things, used an idea I saw in the magazine. But I glued them together with white chocolate to make clovers, sprinkled them with green sugar, they were very cute, I should have take a picture.

ETA: I know that the Family Fun photo is all wonky and covered up. I’m leaving it that way so that Apptivo can see what I’m talking about & fix it!

AWESOME magazine deal, today only!

I just found an awesome magazine deal. For today only, ebates is giving 51% cash back on any purchase you make at magazines dot com. There is also a code WINTERMAGS that will give you $5 off your purchase.  How to do it:

Register or log in at EBATES.

Go to the magazines dot com store, via the link at ebates. Just look at their list of merchants and you’ll see it.

Purchase magazine subscriptions you like. I would purchase them separately and try to use the $5 code each time.

Just wait patiently and your check for 51% back will arrive in the mail in a few weeks.

It’s that simple!

(that is my ebates referral link!)
