Looking for something?

Again I want to thank everyone for their patience during the transition to the new site. No one is more annoyed than me at looking at four empty gray boxes that say “Advertise Here.” The folks at Apptivo are aware of the glitches and repairs that I want done to the site and are working on it.

I also, after having used Blogger for 3+ years, have to learn WordPress. I can do the basics, but it is a learning curve.

One cool feature I’ve noticed-look to the left of this post at the drop down bar that says “Categories.” If you allow it to drop down, you’ll see all the tags I use. The old site didn’t have that feature, so hopefully this will be easier for everyone if they want to reference old posts.

Before you purchase the Vistaprint deal, read this!

There’s another daily deal being tossed around the web for Vistaprint. Spend $10 and you’ll get $50 to spend at Vistaprint. I recommend you do NOT purchase this. Let me explain…..

If you’ve ever used Vistaprint, you know that they offer great deals like 500 business cards for $3 and stuff like that. I’ve purchased from them too. So when I saw the 10/50 deal when it was out a few weeks ago, I was super-psyched! Especially with promoting a new site, I was excited about getting those 500 business cards for $3, then getting other really cheap stuff until my total hit $50. And I had paid only $10! Great, right?

Wrong!

First, when you get the deal, they send you a specific link in order to redeem it. You can go through the main site or another banner ad you find some place. And then they charge you their regular prices. And then some! I was charged regular price, had to pay for all of my upgrades to my cards…..in the end I probably ended up paying more than I usually do.

It was not a good deal at all. You’re much better off just going through a banner ad you find on a website (may I suggest mine, lol) and then doing internet searches for discount codes.

(now off to check out my affiliates and post a Vistaprint banner!)

Oh the irony…

The irony of me having my own QR code for this site is that I’m too damn cheap to buy a smart phone or the data plans that accompany them. But, some social media guru told me to get one, so here it is.
