Earth’s Best Organic Baby Food~$1 each!

Starting tomorrow, Toys R Us is offering Earth’s Best single food puree pouches, the Sesame Street fruit and the yogurt smoothies for 20 for $20. Must buy 20 to get that price. This is an awesome price for these, as regularly they are $1.50-$2.19 or so.

Earth’s Best doesn’t have any offers on their website that are that great, but can’t hurt to look! And the only coupons out right now are home mailers, so not much to stack this offer with. Nevertheless, a great deal if you have a little one and are feeding organics.

Diapers and Wipes Price Roundup~week of July 8

Coupons:

Huggies are June 17 and July 8 inserts, Pampers is July 1. Varying amounts. As always, there are many home mailers.

Pricing guidelines (my opinion): Don’t pay more than $0.02 per wipe or $0.20 per diaper unless you’re out. Aim for $0.01 per wipe or less and under $0.15 per diaper–give or take, depending on size of diaper. Larger sizes cost more.

Acme, July 6-12:

Big packs of Pampers are $25.99 and part of a $10/$30 P&G promo. Big packs of the Baby Basics (house brand) are $16.99

Amazon, prices change all the time: My pick for Amazon this week is to match up the Procter & Gamble coupons to whatever diapers you need. The $3 Pampers one is on there, plus make sure you use the Subscribe & Save discount, then unsubscribe after they deliver (unless you want to continue the service).

How to save on summer vacations and staycations

I’ve been meaning to do a series of posts called “Save or Splurge.” I thought I’d show different vacation and family venues, and then compare what a total, full price splurge would cost (and it’s ok to do that sometimes, just not all the time!) and highlight ways to save money while doing that same activity. I still haven’t gotten around to starting it….maybe next week, and maybe it’s time to retire Garbage Day posts in lieu of this new theme. But anyway, until I get to it, there is something else I wanted to share with you.

I was recently introduced to The Coupon Guide and I’ve been poking around there. They highlight different online coupons and ways to save on entertainment. Philadelphia is one of their top cities, but you should be able to find tips and discounts for just about any place. I can’t believe….I’ve lived in southeastern PA for 40 of my 42 years, and I’ve NEVER done the Philadelphia thing for July 4! I’m considering doing it this year, but my kids are maybe a bit too young and we’re having a serious heat wave. But I’ve been perusing the different Philly discounts they have, and it looks pretty good. Go see for yourself.

Have a great holiday week everyone!
