Walmart has changed their coupon policy a bit since the last time I posted it, which was just a few weeks ago. HERE is a great link that includes photos of examples of what they will and will not accept as far as competitors’ coupons. Their new policy does allow for overage which is great. Unfortunately some couponers are still running into hassles with cashiers & managers, so keep that in mind. Print out the policy and take it with you if you decide go.
more clarification on Giant & Weis catalinas
One more post–
I contacted the mod on hcw who had told me Giant deals worked on shelf price, just to make sure. She profusely apologized and said she often gets Giant and Weis mixed up in her head.
So the bad news is that Giant catalina deals will only work on sale prices. The only one I had done there in ages was the Kellogg’s one last summer, and that was a unit deal, not $$ amount.
But the good news for Weis shoppers is, she said that it’s Weis that does work off of shelf prices.
This is also why I don’t add more stores to my shopping repetoire–learning the policies of just a few is challenging enough.

Family & Individual mini grants for autism-PA families only
If you are a Pennsylvania family that has a person living with autism in your household (and yes, it included adults) then here’s a reminder:
The 2011 Bureau of Autism Services Mini Grants application process is beginning soon. Here’s what you need to do-
On Friday, February 18, after the close of business (I’m assuming around 4:30 or 5 pm), contact the DPW one of two ways.
You can call them at 866-539-7689, pick option #2 and follow the directions.
Or email them at autismoffice@state.pa.us after close of business on that day. Include your name, address, complete mailing address and a phone number with area code. Request that the full application packet be mailed to you.
This year, the office is also holding a webcast to walk you through the application process. It can be viewed at:
http://bastraining.acrobat.com/p53796987/
That website will not be live until after close of business on the 18th.
Fwiw, my $0.02. In the past, this was kind of an unknown thing. Families knew about them, and applied, etc. This year, I have seen this thing everywhere! Due to social media, et., this thing is very well publicized this year. That shouldn’t stop anyone from applying, just know that there will probably be more competition this year, so put your best application forward.
