The good thing about these deals is-first, after every two eligible items, the register will prompt the cashier to scan a gift card for you, so you can do as many promos per transaction as you wish. Or, you can do all separate transactions and roll the $5 gift card towards the next purchase.

Thanks to the shoppers at HCW for compiling the matchups. I went yesterday and got four bags of Iams, but I was lucky–I had these $8 Iams coupons that I’ve been holding on to. I found them at my vet’s office and it is an unusual find. (tip: keep your eyes peeled at all times, you never know where you’ll spot a good coupon!)

With three 100lb dogs to feed, I’m always looking for ways to save. Yesterday I paid $43 for four bags, got $10 back in gift cards. Overall, it works out to about $0.75/lb and I try to stay under $1 per lb. If it’s $0.50 or less per pound, that would definitely be my stock up price and I would max out on the deal.

I recently read an article that said that basically all your mid-high end priced premium dog foods-Iam, Eukanuba, Hills, Beneful-they are all the same quality and there is not much difference. If changing your pet’s food, switch over gradually so as not to experience digestive upset. First you do 75old/25new for a few meals, then 50/50, then 25 old/75new, then the new stuff. For cats, it’s not recommended you switch often because they can become even more finicky. Here’s my Mango–
