~Treat~ yourself to Treat.com birthday cards

I just ordered my second card from Treat.com. Treat is in the Shutterfly family and so far, I love them. As much as I love seeing and sharing photos and greetings online, I still love cards. I love to hold a card in my hand, display it on my kitchen table or hang it on the refrigerator. I might be old-fashioned, but I still love to give and get paper cards.

But, like many busy working moms, I am, well, busy. And overwhelmed some days. And then buying and sending a greeting card falls to the bottom of my to-do list. So enter Treat.com. You can sign up for Treat using your Facebook account, and then it pulls all your Facebook friend information, like birthdays. You can also enter it manually.

How cute is this? With photos that you select!

But this is what I did–my friend Laura’s birthday was coming up, so this is when I first tried Treat. When I signed up, it reminded me that her birthday was coming. So, I went to her Facebook page and grabbed some photos of her kids and her family and used them for the card. It took me about ten minutes. Then, the card is automatically sent to her on her birthday. That’s it! And on her birthday, she received a beautiful, personalized card that her own photos on it. How cool is that?

Now, I just have to sit down at Treat every 3-4 months, and I do them in bulk and schedule for sending. I highly recommend this site!

Notes
Yesterday when I was dropping my 3-year-old off at preschool, the teacher and another parent (grandparent, actually) were having a conversation. Since the conversation was about cake, I couldn’t help but listen. I memorized what they said, and ran home to make it. Seriously. The man (I don’t even know his name, honestly) said that his wife got the recipe from the Phillies, that it originated as Charlie Manuel’s wife’s recipe. I haven’t googled to verify that.

New Jingit videos out

Have you been doing Jingit? I have. I like it, it’s easy, and I can do Jingit in one window while I’m working in another window or tab. If there’s one thing I don’t like though, it’s that

Photo Friday deal~50% off photo books at Shutterfly

I’ve been slacking on this weekly thing–I was going to try to post a photo deal every Friday. The other day I was digging through the basement for various reasons (evaluating what I have for the holidays, getting ready for a consignment sale) and I came across two huge bins of scrapbooking stuff. I don’t know what to do with it. I always had these grand visions of beautiful scrapbooks that I would do, one for each boy, each year….now at minimum, I’m 10 scrapbooks behind. It’s just so much easier to order these photobooks instead. I can do a nice one in 1-2 hours and that’s it.

Time to get ready for the holidays….so start ordering yours now! Use the code BOOKIT to get 50% off.
