Superfresh Ad, Feb 11-17; some highlights & matchups

What a boring week, here are a few highlights:

Axe stuff-buy $15 worth, get 2 free movie tix; assuming it’s based on shelf price, plus the bogo coupons from the 1/31 paper, might be able to get some cheap movie tickets

Perdue chicken nuggets-1.99; I can’t remember if there are still coupons out for this, I used all mine, but will be $0.50 or $0.99 depending on which coupons you have

Maxwell house, big container-5.99, additional quantities 6.99; if you have the $1/2 coupons from Super Bowl booklet, not bad-5.99 each; the dark roast really isn’t too bad

Horizon organic milk-3.50 half gal, there are $1 printables out for this

Total-free gallon of milk wyb 3 Total cereals-$3 each; coupons from 1/23 and 1/30

Nestle Purina catalina, get $5 wyb $25 worth of:
Beneful-13.99
Friskies-3.99
Fancy feast-$1
beggin strips-9.99
fancy feast medleys-8.99

Lots of coupons to go with that deal; should work on shelf prices, check 1/16 inserts for dog, 1/30 for cat

Tropicana Pure Premium on sale for $2.50 which is a good price, but I’m not going out to SF just for OJ, I’ll get the Simply OJ at Acme this week instead.

Acme ad, Feb 11-17 matchups; cheap chips, Conagra deal & possible $5 moneymaker!

Ok, I don’t have much time this evening, so I’m just going to do a quick, 15 min onceover. My favorite TV show is The Middle, on at 8 est. It’s really the only tv show I like, so I want to watch it. I’ll come back tomorrow & add more to the matchups and then I’ll repost the link on Facebook, so you know it’s fresh.

First, there is a $5 catalina offered wyb $25 in participating gift cards. Visa and Master Card are listed as participating! As long as there is no activation fee for these, this is an instant $5 moneymaker! If I think I’m going to spend $100 at the grocery store this week and $50 on gas, yep, I will stand at the Customer Service counter and buy six separate $25 gift cards, and get a $5 catalina for each one. That extra ten minutes of my time will pay for almost half of my weekly grocery bill. If someone tries this on Friday, please report in to us. Not a deal. There’s a $3.95 or $4.95 activation fee for the Visa and MC gift cards. Bummer.

Herr’s chips-1.99, hopefully you snagged the $1 printable I posted last week. It’s still up if you didn’t.

Meat-Perdue, Lancaster Brand and Hatfield, lots on sale. I posted a link to some Hatfield printables not long ago, search through old posts and it should come up. Lancaster Brand–still using those $1 coupons in the Heart Healthy Tailgating books. Perdue, there are insert coupons plus some printables out..

Simply Orange-$3, use this $1 printable (was on page 5 for me)

General Mills/BTFE products on sale-check the BTFE resource page at top of this blog for links to lots of corresponding printable coupons. Also, if you are registered on the BTFE website, they just sent me (today) a rebate form for $10 wyb 10 products. You can choose to either get the $10 for yourself or the school, I’m going to pick the school :)

Green Giant veggies-$1, use the $0.60/3 coupon that is out, and pay just $0.60 per box wyb 3 boxes.

Select cereals, BC fruit snacks, gushers, rollups, chex/cheerio treats-$2

Yoplait-$0.50 each, interesting, DOES NOT INCLUDE Light or Thick & Creamy varieties, which are the ones I usually get. The stupid Whips are only 4 oz, no thanks!

Whole beef tenderloin-7.99; I posted a similar deal a long time ago and a reader posted a video link on how to carve one up yourself, I’ll see if I can dig it up

4 oz lobster tail-4.99

Think–beef tenderloin, lobster tail………send the kids out and have a very nice meal at home!

Conagra deal-get $10 back when you spend $25 on selected products. Remember, will work on either shelf price or knockdown price, then you pay sale price/knockdown price, minus any coupons.

Healthy Choice soup-$1
Manwich/Chefboyardee pasta-$1 (shelf is 1.29, I have $1 off 5s for this)
Banquet dinners-$1
Hunts tomatoes/sauce-$1 (I know there are $1 off 3s or 4s out there)
Gulden’s mustard-$1
Hunts ketchup-$1
Blue Bonnet-$1
Peter Pan PB-1.69
Hunts pudding-$1 (I think there are $1 off 3s and 4s out for this)
Andy Capp fries-$1
Kid Cuisine-$2 (I have $1 off 2s, but they were home mailer coupons)
Healthy choice soup in micro bowl-$2
Poppycock-$2.50
Health Choice/Marie Callenders fresh mixers-$2.50
Pam-$2.50 (I know shelf is 3.99, I have $0.35/1s for this, recent insert coupon)
Reddi whip-2.99
Healthy choice/marie callendar complete meals, dinners, steamers, fresh flavor-3.50
Snapple 12 pk plastic, 6 pk glass-$5 (I think shelf price is $7.xx)
Wesson, 64 oz-5.29 (shelf is $8.xx)

Ok, first, as far as deals go Conagra is my least favorite company because I just don’t eat much of their stuff.

But….at least at the Avondale store, there are “try me free” rebate forms for the Snapple. So if you see those forms, you can at least add that in towards your $25 and know that you’ll get it all back. Good start. But you can only get one–because you’d need them on separate receipts if you were going to submit more rebates. I have those rebate forms and they say “one per person” on them but they say all submissions must be mailed separately.

And, I read on another blog that this catalina is actually printing today, so if you’re brave you may want to try it. Also, supposedly the Wesson, this week, is 3.99–so all you would need is 3 oils and one cheap $1 filler item like pudding, and you’d hit your $25 threshold. Pay roughly $12 or $13, get $10 back. Good price, but keep in mind, then you have three giant containers of oil-do you really need that much before it expires?

The only thing I’d really need is the Chef Boyardee Microwave pastas, to send with K for his lunch. So I may get one Snapple for the rebate, and $17 Chef Boyardee, use a few coupons, probably pay around $20 for my total. Get a $10 catalina and $5 rebate. Not bad. $5 for 17 micro pastas for K’s lunch is a good deal. Plus, maybe I’ll pay for it all with my shiny new Visa gift card that I just got another $5 catalina for purchasing.

And here is another rebate form that you can send in. Spend $10 on Conagra stuff, get a home mailer booklet of coupons.

Adding more links to printables for Conagra products and some more coupon matchups.

any Sunday must do deals?

Nope, I don’t see anything that makes me want to leave the comfort of my warm, snuggly bed on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately my stupid dogs had me up at 5:30, so I’ll at least list a few deals that I plan to do this week, but on Wednesday.

CVS-ad says when you scan your card at card scanner, you’ll get a $3 off $10 purchaes any cosmetics, your choice. I plan on combining that wil either the Revlon deal listed (items listed for $7.89, get $4 back) and adding something on, like some Cover Girl on clearance. There’s also a ‘buy Cover Girl Mascara, get eyeshadow free’ and several other Extra Bucks deals, like Biore, Olay, and Maybelline. Stacking the $3 off $10 coupon with mfr coupons and ECB deals will make for some really cheap makeup.

While you’re there, there is Trident gum for $0.99, get $0.99 back in ECBs. Artificial sweeteners give me a migraine, so I’m passing on that deal. There’s also a Lindt truffle deal, get 2 bags for $6, get $1 ECB back. $1 off 1 coupons in last week’s paper I think.

All & Wisk is bogo and you can use two coupons–one for each item. Check the prices, not listed in ad, because there are $2 Wisk coupons out, could be very cheap.

Check the back of the ad, lots of deals on various meds, if you need them.

Walgreen’s-
Definitely a slow week for freebies. There’s a hand sanitizer that is free after Register Rewards.

There’s a $5/$15 Register Reward deal on Unilever products, the Skippy will be free is you have enough of the coupons from the Safeway booklet.

The Starbucks coffee is a good price at 6.49. Last night at Acme it was 8.49.

They also have a sale on the Hershey’s drops things, combine mfr coupon with coupon in booklet at front of store. Pay $0.50 a bag. I’ve almost eaten my way through the 4 bags I got at Kmart last week. Those things are addicting.

Lots of sales on various Valentine’s Day items, if you need them for kids & school.

Diapers–if you need diapers, both CVS and Walgreen’s have diaper deals. You just have to look at what coupons you have & decide which deal works for you.

The Garnier deal at Walgreen’s, get $5 when you spend $10, could be decent if you have Garnier coupons.

Last week or so, I posted a $2 printable for Scott, if you can use it on the packs that are on sale for $6.99, good price!

I have one $8 RR that I need to spend this week, not sure what I’ll get.

All stores, make sure you check out the clearance makeup.

Acme (Supervalu): a few freebies & cheaps I found

Just got back from my weekly shopping trip for the family. Spent $80, saved 40%, go me! Anyway, I was without the boys, so I had time to poke around & matchup coupons as I perused the aisles. If you shop at any of the stores in the Supervalu chain, check your store as they often have similar prices & promotions.

This is only for the Avondale location, but it appears that they are having some freezer/refrigerator troubles, so all the big hams were reduced to 1.99/lb while supplies last. If you have the freezer space, get your Easter ham now.

First, the Dove/Suave Unilever $5/$15 catalina deal–if you do that promo, you’ll get your stuff cheap. But going from shelf price to sale price minus coupons, I don’t see any freebies. Even the deodorant, the one that there is a $2 coupon out for–that’s $4.19 shelf, $3.99 sale. So no great differences in price from shelf to sale to boost it along.

However…there are many Suave and Dove items on clearance. So if you just want cheap stuff without the hassle of trying to figure out a catalina deal, check the shelves for the red clearance tags.

Also on clearance–the Philly Cream Cheese singles or minis or whatever they’re called. On clearance for 1.89 and I’m fairly certain there were $1/1s last week.

Febreze candles-$3.59, there are $2 coupons out for these. And I like these candles–with 3 dogs we go through a lot of candles.

The Ronzoni Garden pasta is $1.25 and there are $1/1s out for this–only $0.25 for a pound of pasta. There are also lots of printables out, I did a post on this last week, use search in upper left hand of page, that post has several links to printables.

The Tabasco sauce (tabasco brand), the small bottle is $1, so check your coupon binders for the $0.50/1s that came out recently–free!

Franks, the small bottle is $1 and I had $1/2s for it. Two bottles for a buck, great price–and I can’t wait to make that buffalo chicken dip tomorrow! Yum!

French’s brand worcestershire sauce–the big 20 oz bottle is only $1.79, so if you have the $0.75 coupon, only $0.29. It says “50% more free” or something on the package. I don’t use it often, but like to have it on hand for when a recipe calls for it–and that’s a fantastic price for that big bottle.

Kraft 2% singles are $2, hopefully you snagged the $1 off 1 printable link when I posted it, because it’s no longer available, but $1 for a pack of Kraft singles is a great price. For $1, it’s cheaper than the generic brand, so my dog will be getting it when she takes her meds every day.

I need spaghetti sauce, and have the $1 off 2 Ragu coupons, which is $1.50 right now. But the tag says it will be that price until 5/5, I’m going to hold out for a better sale or catalina deal. $0.50 is pretty much my upper limit of what I will pay for a jar of spaghetti sauce and I’ve been able to do well sticking to that price point. At some point, Acme will reduce it to $0.99, they have to, right? They always do!

More clearance-L’oreal stuff for hair, Aveeno hair stuff and Nexxus.

Back by the deli, look for the tearpads for a mail in rebate for “try me free” Snapple. Also snagged some good tearpad coupons–$0.75 off Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese. I don’t want either of these items but they’ll make good trading coupons.

New Heart Smart booklet in front of store. I grabbed a few but haven’t looked in it yet.
